a lovely reader asked if i could sport what i wear to workout and what to throw on afterward to run errands. today, i’m happy to share my activewear with you. first, i wear a pair of yoga shoes to, well, yoga class. if i were headed to orange theory, i’d wear a pair of nike’s. these adidas shoes are years old but are still going strong. i do slip them off before class, but they are comfy to run around town in afterward and are less bulky than a running shoe.
calvin klein performance is a favorite brand of mine for workout clothes for whatever it’s worth. i favor their sports bras. another brand i like is athleta, owned by the gap family, who are committed to sustainable activewear. they love recycled polyester and organic cotton. plus, their design team is on point with lots of stylish bottoms, tops, jackets, and dresses that are perfect for workouts, weekend, or just plain lounging around the house.
bottoms | top | sports bra | sweatshirt
this time of year, it’s nice to throw on a lightweight jacket or sweatshirt that cover my assets after class. that way my bum will be covered, and i can zip off to the grocery store or target with ease. look for interesting details like a cowl neck or cutout back detail. wearing an item a little different from the norm elevates the overall look.
the same advice holds true for tops and bottoms. and their are so many fun patterns these days when it comes to workout gear. we’ve come a long way baby! don’t forget lulu lemon or j.crew also offer a variety of choices when it comes to activewear. i’ll share a few of my must-have’s in the widget below.
who says working out can’t be fun? or that you can’t bring your style A game to class? whatever it takes to get you to the gym or take a bike ride around your neighborhood or maybe it’s an old-fashioned walk around the block. whatever suits your fancy and fits into your lifestyle – just move. your body will thank you.
happy hump day! namaste.

The shoes caught my eye, but I see no link. Are they still available? Love your style, blogs and especially the videos. Thank you.
hi janice! the shoes are at least fifteen years old and no longer available. i tried my best to find a similar shoes but to no avail. ugh! xo
Thanks, Beth!
love the camo tights! Are they Athleta?
these are an older version of athleta. although, i did see a similar version on the website but didn’t link to it as only the xxs and xs were available. xo
Not quite the same as the yoga shores you’re wearing, but I discovered FitKicks at my son’s college book store. They’re available online through that A-retailer.
You found a way to look great while exercising and after while running errands. xoxo
Beth, where did you get that lovely cowl neck sweatshirt top? I couldn’t access it in the links and wondered where you got it? Really cute and looks so comfy!
