    • beth djalali says:

oh contessa! of course i’m showing my age. it took me 58 years to get here! besides, if it’s good enough for j.crew to resurrect dr. scholl’s it’s good enough for me. they are so dang cute!
      xoxo beth

  2. Jacqueline Gray Endlich says:

Love everything about your style, especially the Doc Sholls! What’s old is new again as per J Crew! Would love to see a picture of the short short hair.

    • beth djalali says:

if you head back to february posts you will see my shorter do! trends come and go don’t they? my mom always said if you live long enough you’ll cycle through three or four versions of just about anything.
      xoxo beth

  3. Kathysue says:

You look fabulous in this outfit. I would totatlly wear all the base pieces and I would have to pop a bright yellow sweater for me. You always inspire me and love the Doc Sholls, are they comfortable?

    • beth djalali says:

      hi kathysue!
and you would look adorable in this cool blue! totally preppy. the dr. scholls have been re-engineered so they are waaayyyy more comfortable than the old days. the sole isn’t as hard and unforgiving this time around.
i am just loving your backyard. what a beautiful spot! i know you will have so many special moments there with friends and family. you and dougie did good!
      xoxo beth

Let’s try this again. Love the blue and the pop of color. The shoes are just the right touch!

      • beth djalali says:

i couldn’t be happier to have found dr. scholl’s are back in action. they were such a mainstay back in the ’70’s! loved them then, and love them now. isn’t it crazy how trends get recycled every so often?
        xoxo beth

  5. Nikki Gwin says:

How do you say? snazzy? 😉

  6. Sue Smith says:

You look great in these color combinations, Beth. The little hint of olive-y green in that skirt and then picked up in the sweater is so pretty–and I like the front of that skirt–am I seeing the close-up correctly that there is an interesting pieced yoke?

    • beth djalali says:

you noticed the yoke! it’s such a nice finishing detail along with the green trim. this is from CAbi and they are known for adding just the right oommph to their clothes. and, they love to work with vibrant colors. check them out if you’re not familiar with them.
      xoxo beth

      • Sue Smith says:

thanks! As someone who was a major seamstress in my past, I always notice the details… Pretty!

  7. Emma Peach says:

Love the outfit and especially the bag. The necklace is fabulous…have we seen it before? It’s interesting how trends cycle back around.
