what fun to knock around town and poke your head into the local antique store or flower shop. and that’s just what mr. style and i did this past saturday in greensboro, ga.
of course, i remembered to bring along this fabulous straw market tote. it’s the perfect accessory to stash your loot inside. this particular bag is no longer available, but there are some terrific dupes here, here and here.
but i particularly like these chambray linen pants. currently, they are on sale at talbots and think they’re perfect for a hot summer day thanks to their wide leg. there’s a self-tie sash that you can either decide to belt or not. today i went with a cute half-bow and a half-tuck with this sleeveless sweater from j.crew.
greensboro was still dressed up in a patriotic palette. so my ootd blended right in.
since there was lot’s of walking involved around town i chose a pair of slip-on sneakers by sperry. super comfy but cute to boot.
isn’t this storefront to the local florist darling?! i don’t know what it is, but flower shops draw me in like a magnet. i’m rarely disappointed with all the wares they have to offer. all-in-all i’d say this was a fun way to spend a lazy day. and isn’t that what summer’s all about?
