Two Classic Shirts You’ll Wear All Season

Happy Friday, ladies! It’s my last day of vacation/work and I plan to spend it poolside. The weather has been picture-perfect this week so I’ve been able to spend hours outside under blue skies and sunshine. There’s something magical about the first blush of spring.

And speaking of spring if you haven’t flipped through our spring eMagazine now’s your chance! We’re hard at work on the summer issue which will be available for purchase Memorial Day Weekend! Honestly, summer will be here before you know it!

Kelly is helping me in the kitchen today and we’re cooking up a delicious appetizer and serving a scrumptious cocktail that’s perfect for a spring evening.  We’re also featuring two classic shirts you’ll wear all season.

My three-season porch has been open for the past two weeks and I have to admit it’s one of my favorite spaces in my house to entertain friends and family.

It has a great view of the yard but you feel as if you’re in a tree house with all of the mature trees that border the porch. It’s a great spot to watch the birds frolic from feeder to bird bath and the squirrels are always up to some sort of mischief.

TL;DR

Today, I’m sharing two classic shirts you’ll wear all season

Kelly and I are teaming up for a great cocktail and appetizer

Two Classic Shirts You’ll Wear All Season

1. Fallon Linen Shirt

(J.McLaughlin)

As always I’m kicking off the weekend in a casual outfit fit for Friday. A pale pink linen tunic from J.McLaughlin with side button details available in seven colors plus stripes is back in action this time paired with moss green linen shorts from Banana Republic.

These shorts match the linen blazer worn in Monday’s post. Together they make up a chic shorts suit that I just might take with me to Mexico in a few weeks. Hot pink sandals from Jeffrey Campbell complete today’s OOTD.

    Sorry Beth, absolutely ugly shoes!

    1. Beth Djalali

I’m curious as to why you’re sorry. Style is all about personal preferences. What a boring world if we all liked and wore the same items.
And there’s a marked difference between what Germans like and Americans as far as fashion. Vive le difference, as the French say!

  2. Beverly Bergstrom

Hi Beth, I really enjoy your posts, and often use them as a springboard for outfit ideas. Recently you have started including items from J. McLaughlin in your posts. While they are lovely and of high quality, they are at a high price point , and I think they should be featured much less frequently. Those of us who love fashion but don’t have the benefit of being in the industry really don’t want to spend that amount very often on casual wear. Thanks for listening!

    1. Beth Djalali

      Hi Beverly,
Yes, I’ve featured J. McLaughlin for several years, but their spring collection has been exceptional and I’ve been thrilled to share.
Quick question, are you shopping through my links on the blog or just using the posts as a springboard for outfit ideas, as stated?

  3. beth byrd

Love the outfits today, but I’m really enamored with the cocktail and appetizer. I’m a huge fan of Campari and can’t wait to try this recipe. And, you can’t go wrong with puff pastry, brie and asparagus! Happy Spring!

    1. Beth Djalali

This cocktail is a keeper, Beth! Enjoy!

  4. Carolina Girl

    Hi Beth and Oscar!
Your cocktail is like a sunset in a glass! Reminds me of Mallory Square in Key West 🙂 I’ll also try the puff pastry recipe; looks delicious.
I like your outfit today (including your fun sandals) … and you rock it all well. Since seeing your posts featuring J. McLaughlin, I see a new JM store has popped up in our little town. Yay! Thanks for highlighting that brand … I prefer to purchase quality as I find it lasts SO very long. Thank you, and have a great weekend!

    1. Beth Djalali

You will love this cocktail, but I have to say the appetizer is a-ma-zing! How lucky are you to have a J. McLaughlin move to your town? I’m a big
      fan of their clothes.
      Cheers to the weekend!
