rain, rain, go away, come again some other day. but guess what? scattered thunderstorms are on the horizon through the weekend. so when the going gets tough the tough reach for sneakers. okay, maybe they’re not quite the same as rain boots, but I’m giving my Hunters a rest because i’m dodging those rain puddles today not sloshing through them. let’s face it, sneaks hold up well with any weather that comes my way rain or shine. this is a shoe that’s on-trend, ladies and it has a comfy cushioned sole. Tretorns were originally designed for the tennis court, but now they add a little fun to any outfit. recently i wore them with a striped dress. today, they’re paired with striped linen shorts. love how versatile these retro gold leather Tretorns truly are.
today’s ootd is anything but glamorous, but i do love a laid-back look as much as an outfit geared towards date night. and i’m a big fan of T by Talbots that offers workout clothes that are comfy and cute. like this cotton pique zip jacket that’s a casual staple perfect with leggings or shorts. this jacket also comes in a pink stripe that was tempting, but in the end, i settled on heathered black. can you tell i’m already thinking about transition pieces that will take me from summer to fall? the dog days of summer are upon us! and those rain clouds have brought cooler temps, so it’s nice to have a lightweight layer at my beck and call.
