if you currently have a nine-to-five job then i’m certain you’ve made a pitstop into ann taylor. this is the brand known for its suiting collection for the modern woman. or if you like to stock up on staples such as cardigans, blazers, and skirts then this is the shop for you. plus, i discovered years ago that ann just knows how pants fit a woman’s body. many of my favorites through the years are from ann taylor, including denim. when we lived overseas ann taylor was one of the first stores i hit after landing on U.S. soil. this year, their spring collection is filled with all sorts of feminine details – eyelet, pleats, florals, ruffles – and neutral colors. i’m particularly loving their shirtdress and safari dress. let’s give a big cheer that hemlines have definitely dropped – hip, hip, hooray! and there’s a wide range of blazers with a modern take. i think my favorite is the twin pocket cargo jacket. but then again, i’m always a sucker for a fringed tweed jacket – it’s a timeless addition to your wardrobe. if you can ever snag one of their skirts or pants in ponte you won’t be disappointed. ponte is an absolute dream to wear! and ann taylor typically has a great assortment of belts. there is one in particular that i wear from several seasons back, brown with brass hardware that loops twice around, that everyone always comments on.
so sit back with a cup of coffee, relax and take a peek at a few of my favorites from this iconic brand.
