<outfit post> pencil skirt challenge:
happy hump day, peeps! and welcome to day three of my pencil skirt challenge. as you can see from today’s post i went with a more casual vibe (does anyone besides me use this word anymore?) with my black pencil skirt. the jacket purchased from Old Navy this spring has a varsity/baseball look to it that has been super popular this year. i wore it in a post earlier in the summer with distressed jeans, and the same calf-hair pumps shown here. as a matter of fact, the leather tote is in both posts as well. if i’ve said it once, i’ll say it a thousand times, versatility is the key that unlocks your style without breaking the bank.
i kept the color scheme neutral today with cream and black, but the polka dots in the blouse help keep the look playful and is in keeping with the relaxed air found in the jacket. i added a belt in a contrasting color from the pencil skirt, and voila, i’m off and running for the day.
