when seasons transition it’s time to layer up. what with the temperatures varying by 20 degrees from morning to night it’s important to be strategic. if san francisco has taught me anything it has to be the art of layering. until i arrived in the bay, i never utilized scarves nearly as much as i do now and i couldn’t be happier. take a look at today’s ootd. the camo scarf with a pop of orange gives this outfit the zing it needs and keeps me warm when the temps dip. sadly, this scarf is no longer available. many of you know i am a big believer in buying classic pieces and hanging on to them for YEARS. but if you are interested, i do link below with current items i would pair with this outfit if shopping today. coats are a must this time of year (it’s just darn chilly) so if you are looking for a classic look nothing beats a waxed field jacket. mine is navy but the color selection runs the gamut. so take your pick. a denim shirt bought years ago at target gives me that casual chic look i prefer and since i’m out and about on foot today a pair of loafers will do nicely. today’s photos finally show off my sunglasses in the best light. i’m certainly loving the color – jade. on a final note, strolling by this charming cafe has me biting at the bit to dine al fresco. what beats people watching while grazing appetizers and sipping sparkling water?

I live in the Midwest and this outfit would be such a statement here though maybe not for everyone! That scarf is incredible. Everything looks great together. Gotta give you lots of credit for this outfit!!!
lol! thanks, diane. i hail from the midwest so completely understand when something’s a bit out of the box! is there still snow on the ground where you are? at least february is almost behind us. that was the month i dreaded the most when living in a colder climate!

This outfit would definitely fill the transitional requirement for this time of year. Love the jacket! I’m in Texas for a week and it is much warmer and very windy. The shape of the sunnies looks great on you. xoxo
i do like the color of these sunnies! perfect for that texas sun. hope you’re having a ball!
