are you ready for the holiday? because they are fast approaching. in the next 44 days we will be wrapping, toasting, shopping, and (my favorite) feasting with family and friends. if you are like me, there will be more than one occasion where you will need to look casual but chic. is your book club hosting a holiday get-together? or maybe your bunco group? when those special events roll around i like to add a little bling to my look without dressing to the nines. metallic shoes are perfect for this sort of look as well as a sparkly clutch. i’m a big fan of belts, and this one has a jewel encrusted buckle that peeks out from beneath my sweater. velvet is the perfect fabric for the holidays, and i have several velvet blazers hanging in my closet. one of my favorite colors is purple. don’t you think it looks amazing paired with olive? so there you have it, ladies, a fun, festive outfit that keeps you looking chic, but is uber comfortable when you’re celebrating with friends.

Great casual, yet put together, holiday look, Beth! The shoes, belt, & clutch add just the right amount of sparkle!
And, only 44 days left??? That’s scary!!!
thanks, friend! don’t panic, but now it’s 43 days…

Great look on you! The jacket is fabulous…love that color…think I can recreate your look with what is in my closet. I would probably skip the sweater (even tho it is lovely) because of being very short-waisted and a full-figure gal. Any suggestions for a substitute piece to round out the look?
instead of the sweater a denim shirt would look nice for a super casual look. or switch it up with a blouson silk vee neck blouse. let me know how those look.
