this past month i was asked to be a guest blogger for the monthly rendition of fab 40’s. i know, i know, i’m well beyond the age of forty, but it was fun to participate with all of these stylish bloggers that go by the name of ‘fab 40’s.’ each month these lovely ladies zero in on a different fashion trend and showcase their particular take on it. this month the topic chosen was ‘how to style faux fur.’ so join us today as we showcase six very different, and fun takes on this trend that just might be here to stay.

next in the line-up is dawn lucy from Fashion should be Fun. i agree! dawn’s blog zero’s in on the over 40 woman from every walk of life – no matter what size or what budget. isn’t that the way it should be? dawn looks delicious in a faux fur vest. but isn’t that tote something else? outfit details:
ann from Kremb de la Kremb is sporting a faux fur jacket in hues of charcoal and white. ann is an expatriate residing, and working on the tiny island of hong kong. i’m certain she can recommend a few delectable dim sum spots, or suggest the best places to shop in kowloon. doesn’t she look divine in those black booties? outfit details:
dixie from Inside Outer Style writes a blog that promotes freedom, confidence and self-expression. amen to that! dixie is looking particularly festive in her sequined top, and leather leggings. but it’s the addition of the faux fur scarf that brings this outfit home. or maybe it’s those booties. check out the pring. outfit details:
sheela, editor of Sheela Writes does just that – writes. i always love a fearless voice out there that speaks their mind, and sheela has no hesitation of voicing her opinion. brava! plus she infuses her blog posts with her particular take on fashion. check out her faux fur jacket topped over a dress. a pair of fierce suede booties complete this look along with a snakeskin clutch. outfit details:

i decided to go old-school with a faux fur vest, plaid shirt, olive-green riding pants and suede boots. oh, and i added a scarf last-minute as the weather has been decidedly chilly these past few weeks.
