well, gang, i have to admit i’m happy to see this week draw to a close. winter reared it’s ugly head with frigid temps. and this flu just plain tuckered me out. but it’s friday! the week is complete, at least in my book, it’s time for a little rest and relaxation. my favorite sidekick is helping me kick the weekend off. the fire’s cranked, my feet are up, and that’s that.
thank goodness the temps are headed back up. there’s still a smidge of snow left on the ground, but i’m certain that will melt quickly. so instead of a jacket, i piled the layers on. a striped boyfriend shirt – sold out similar here – from madewell, cashmere crewneck, classic wash toothpick jeans from j. crew, and a buffalo check flannel half zip that’s part shirt part jacket and truly perfect for milder weather. oh yes, my vicky engineer boots from frye made an appearance today to help trudge through slush and salt. these babies are practically indestructible.

Hi Beth, very cute today! Wish we would warm up here in Michigan a bit. Ice Festival this weekend in Rochester Hills. I do have a fashion question. Any ideas of wearing navy blue pants for dress or casual. What colors besides red go with navy? Grey? Pink? Have you done a YouTube series on navy?
Great idea!
Fun look! Wish that buffalo plaid shirt was available in my size. Must’ve been popular.
Hope you’re feeling much better. Sounds like the flu is everywhere. I’m crossing fingers and toes I don’t get it. Have a great weekend–love the new short cut and the blue here is vivid–(almost “Duke blue!” 😉
