versatile is a word that i love to bandy about, especially when it comes to my wardrobe. i’m a big believer that A) clothes don’t have to break the bank, and B) clothes should work for you, not just take up space in your closet. so for today’s ootd versatility is definitely at the forefront. this dress has seen action on my blog before as a simple dress to wear to work with a belt to give it an extra punch. however, today, this same dress goes from day to evening by changing out a few accessories. for a daytime look i added a jean jacket, wore flats, and slipped on a studded leather bracelet and silver bangle. for an after five look i simply exchanged the jean jacket for a cashmere cardigan with a pop of color. the white flats are switched out for a pair of black pumps. as for the jewelry, the necklace stayed the same, but i changed out the leather bracelet in favor of a jade bangle. there you have it – one dress that proves how versatile it can be.

Great dress. I do so love a piece that’s not really what you’d consider a ‘basic’ at first, and yet…somehow evolves into one. This dress looks equally great with the denim jacket and cardigan.
