monday’s are a day for new beginnings. the slate is clean, and anything is possible. so why not start off the week on a bright note with an outfit that’s fit for a busy day at the office, multiple meetings, and just about anything that’s thrown your way. i love the pattern of my skirt that’s reminiscent of animal print. it’s soft, subtle color palette of grays and blues with a hint of shocking pink is right up my alley. this is a skirt i originally purchased in 2009 for job interviews. at the time i was transitioning back into the workforce after a 26 year hiatus of raising children, driving carpools, and overseeing college applications. did i mention how challenging it can be to land a job after such a long absence? but back to my ootd. this skirt can easily pair with a sweater or blazer for a more polished look if you work in a more conservative environment. today i streamlined the outfit with a simple denim shirt that fits well in a creative or more casual workplace. pointy-toed heels are perfect for any nine-to-five look , and it’s two-inch height can’t be beat for comfort.
