we’re chasing a trend today – fringe. it’s definitely a throwback to the seventies, and it’s EVERYWHERE this fall. from handbags to jackets – fringe is on trend. for today’s ootd i decided on a faux fringe jacket. it’s a little bit equestrian, and just plain fun. it would have been a no-brainer to pair this jacket with light rinse blue jeans tucked into a pair of equestrian riding boots. add a little turquoise, and silver bangles, and you’ve got a terrific southwestern look. no doubt you’ll see me in just such an outfit as the season progresses. but today i decided to give this jacket a little oomph by pairing it with my faux leather pants. don’t you think black and brown is such an elegant color combo? it’s definitely one of my favorite color schemes come winter and fall. i thought a little color couldn’t hurt so i tied a silk scarf around my neck.  pearls seemed the perfect juxtaposition for this ootd, and now i’m ready for a night out and about. if i still lived in texas this outfit just might have come in handy for an outing to the rodeo.

labels: pants Zara; jacket c/o Chico’s; scarf Hermes; shoes Banana Republic
