opens in a new windowit’s friday, ladies! another week has come and gone. it’s in the books for good. now it’s time to usher in the weekend, put up our heels, and relax. oscar is here, ready to do just that. if you ask me, every day is friday in his eyes. or maybe sunday, boy does he love to snooze throughout the day. in between chasing squirrels, begging for treats, and keeping ollie in check. not a bad life no matter what day it is!as you know, fridays are the day we dish up a delicious and healthy recipe along with a refreshing cocktail. asparagus frites and a winter Aperol are certain to chase those january blues away.Outfit details and recipes are on the blog. opens in a new window<classic style series>think classic style is out of date and boring? then think again. I’m kicking off my classic style series 2021 with Princess Diana who knew how to rock a gorgeous evening gown as well as a pair of black denim. love how she added a red puffer jacket to add some oomph. and brown booties with black? yes, please! and my favorite retailer @nordstrom carries every single item for today’s ootd. opens in a new windowI love to cook this time of year! But, when it's time to flip through my favorite cookbooks, that teeny tiny print can make me very aware of my dry eye symptoms. SYSTANE® HYDRATION PF Lubricant Eye Drops can be used to relieve dry eye symptoms for those in need of long-lasting hydration, and boy do i need that this winter. SYSTANE® HYDRATION is a great preservative-free option for dry eye sufferers. It comes in single vials for at home or on the go. @systane.us for more information click the link in bio --> @styleatacertainage #ad #SYSTANE #eyedrops #DryEyes

opens in a new windowhello friday! it’s good to see you again. and guess who’s back after a brief vacay from his weekly gig? yes, oscar is back, and ollie decided to make an appearance too. i’m happy to report these two scoundrels have been fine and dandy all through the holidays. they even helped me ring in the new year—all hail fridays with oscar and our main star.since it’s friday, i always choose a casual outfit to kick off the weekend. fridays are always about casual ease, whether it’s what i wear or what i eat. and i do love to whip up a cocktail to sip and savor and enjoy. today, i’m sharing a quick and easy version of chicken noodle soup and a refreshing cranberry ginger smash. so come on in and stay awhile, even if it’s only virtually.outfit details and recipes are on the blog. link in bio—> @styleatacertainage #modernclassicstyle

opens in a new windowI feel the need for tweed. A tweed blazer that is. if you have followed the blog for any length of time, you know my love for classic style runs deep. what is classic style? it’s characterized by clean silhouettes, a neutral palette, fine natural fabrics, leather shoes and handbags (Chelsea boots, loafers, and block-heel pumps), paired down accessories, and timeless wardrobe staples. while classic style is aware of the trends and incorporates them into their style they’re not dependent on them. think understated simplicity. and classic style women always have a go-to style uniform. for my preppy aesthetic, i dubbed my uniform the 4-B’s – blazer, button-down, blue jeans, and ballet flats. but when i want to up the ante with my style uniform, i exchange the button down for a silk blouse or camisole and add pumps.outfit details are on the blog. link in bio —> @styleatacertainage #modernclassicstyle #tweed-blazer

opens in a new windowis leopard a timeless classic? if you take a page from style icons from years gone by like jackie kennedy or audrey hepburn, you will see them spotted in leopard. pardon the pun. fashion can be fickle, but not when it comes to leopard or any animal print for that matter. why? because they act like neutrals. take a look at this leopard coat. it’s brown, beige, and black, a neutral palette indeed but with a little edge. so today we’re going to see how to wear leopard with glen plaid, another timeless and classic pattern.outfit details are on the blog. link in bio —> @styleatacertainage

opens in a new windowtoday, i thought i’d kick off the new year with five healthy lifestyle habits that we can adopt in 2021. i’m not reinventing the wheel or sharing a brand new secret that will revolutionize your life. no, it’s always about the basics with me whether it’s my wardrobe or lifestyle. but the basics work when incorporated day in and day out. and it’s never too late to change bad habits that have crept into our lives. we can start being the best version of ourselves today. it all begins with self-care. take baby steps if you have to. the point is to never give up. start with a simple question. “how can i honor my body today.” ladies, we can age with grace, strength, and beauty at age fifty and beyond. it’s our choice to make. to read more click the link in bio --> @styleatacertainage happy 2021! we made it. 🥳
