When we first moved to Athens, we dined in the kitchen breakfast nook. Years before Kelly and Alex moved to town, and before my middle son moved to Georgia from NYC, it was just me, Mr. Style, and Junior Style living in Athens. So our Thanksgiving was a smaller affair. A simple and rustic farmhouse theme is a classic look that is easy to put together. Go with White Cloth Napkins and white Pillar Candle Holders. Add a rustic touch with dried Indian Corn and a Wheat Bouquet.

Black & White Tablescape

Even though we upgraded to a larger dining table, you will notice that my Silver Chargers and Orange Pumpkin Cocottes are back in action. I like to mix and match my serveware and dinnerware with linens and decor to create a whole new look. For this particular year, I created a striking black-and-white color scheme and added pops of color with Faux Gourds and fresh greens like fern fronds.

For this Thanksgiving tablescape, I embraced the warm tones of the season with Harvest Plaid Napkins. Round Tablescape

Last year, I finally had my round dining table in the formal dining room. If you’ve been following the blog for years, you will recall that I had my office in the formal dining room, with the long rectangular dining table from Thanksgiving past where my office is now, as part of my large open living room.

Thanksgiving Tablescapes Present

This year’s Thanksgiving tablescape is similar to last year’s; I have my Green Chargers in play, and they add a nice pop of green to contrast with the oranges and browns of my linens and centerpiece decor. As an alternative to Faux Pumpkins and Gourds that you can reuse year after year, try a Glass Pumpkin. Mine are old but there are beautiful versions in a variety of sizes and colors at Wayfair.
