Makes 2 Cocktails
Ingredients
1/2 cup Bourbon
4 tbsp. Lemon Juice
2 tbsp. Crème de Cassis
2 tbsp. Blackberry Syrup*
2-4 dashes Angostura Bitters
Lemon Wedge, Fresh Blackberries, as garnish
*Blackberry Syrup
1/4 cup Fresh Blackberries
1/4 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Water
Instructions
Add all ingredients (except the garnishes) to an ice-filled shaker. Shake until very cold. Strain into ice-filled rocks glasses and garnish with a lemon wedge and a whole blackberry.
*Blackberry Syrup
In a small saucepan, bring the sugar, blackberries and water to a boil. Remove from heat and mash the berries. Let the mixture steep for 10 minutes. Strain into a jar. Store in the fridge, makes 6 tablespoons of syrup.
