Happy Friday, ladies, and Happy Memorial Day Weekend! The unofficial kickoff for summer has arrived. Lazy pool days, backyard barbeques, warm days, and long evenings are just a few of my favorite things summer offers. Not to mention homemade ice cream. So today we are sharing Summer Entertaining and Summer Outfits.
Recently, I purchased this teak outdoor dining set from Pottery Barn. It seats eight, accommodating my family when it’s time to dine al fresco. I love to pull out this Shark outdoor fan from QVC, which keeps us cool during the meal. The fan is cordless and made for the great outdoors. Genius! I am definitely buying one more fan, so I will have one on either end of the dining table.

I’m keeping it simple today with a stonewashed indigo button-up, navy walking shorts from Frank & Eileen, and white sneakers from Sam Edelman. I think I could live in this outfit all summer long. It’s cute and comfy, two ingredients that make for a winning ootd. I’m headed to a Memorial Day BBQ, so I think I have my outfit picked out! Now I just have to decide on my side. Mexican Corn? Any suggestions?

My outfit is a perfect transition outfit to go from spring to summer. A fun and flirty tank with ruffle shoulders from J.Crew tops my Sailor Slim Wide Leg Pants, also from J.Crew. Simple black slide sandals and a skinny braided belt complete my casual summer outfit.

The Coletti Royale is a Champagne or Prosecco cocktail with elderflower liqueur, tequila, and plenty of refreshing citrus flavor.
Makes 2 Cocktails
4 oz. Tequila
2 oz. Blood Orange Juice
1 oz. Elderflower Liqueur
1 oz. Orange Liqueur
Prosecco to top
Combine all the ingredients except the Prosecco and orange slices in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until cold and strain into an ice-filled wine glass. Top with Prosecco and garnish with orange slices.
This recipe might sound funny, and you might tempted like I was, to nix the preparing everything in the can part. But let me say that we made these dips in the can, and it turned out to be a fun and novel way to serve the clam dip – especially for a party. You can make several of these Creamy Clams in a Can and place with crackers around your appetizer spread.
2 Cans Chopped Clams
2 tbsp. Salted Butter, melted, divided
Sprinkles of chopped Fresh Thyme
Chopped Cooked Bacon (optional)
2 Garlic Cloves, minced, divided
Shredded Parmesan
2 tbsp. Heavy Cream
Topping: Cracked Pepper, Sliced Scallions and Tabasco
Crackers, for serving
Drain the juice out of the canned clams. Pour the melted butter over the clams. Sprinkle on the fresh thyme, then the chopped bacon and the minced garlic.
Top with shredded parmesan and drizzle with the cream.
Air Fry at 400º F. until cheese is melted and bubbly, about 8 minutes.
Top each can with fresh cracked pepper, sliced scallions and tabasco, if desired.
Serve with crackers or sliced baguette.
