Who is the new dog? Second time I have asked. Is Oscar retiring? Say it ain’t so 😞. Hey New Dog welcome to the scene!

maybe i missed your question but we’ve introduced pax (jr. style’s puppy) many times over the last six weeks. he’s adorable and oscar loves him. so, no oscar isn’t being replaced. just a new buddy.

  5. Sylvia Espinoza says:

Beth, you’ve topped off a fantastic blog week with a lovely EVERYTHING today! Fridays With Oscar is the gift that keeps on giving. The pics today tell the cutest story. With his paw on Pax, can almost hear him say, “Now, Pax, let me teach you some things about these Friday poses…” Love Oscar! Everything is wonderful today. You and all the blog sisters be blessed with a memorable Mother’s Day!~

    • Beth Djalali says:

that was such a cute photo! oscar has a new buddy that’s just like the energizing bunny – he just doesn’t stop! but the two have turned into fast friends with lots of romping around inside and out.

Beth, thank you for another great Friday with Oscar. You always have some good recipes and I have made most of them. Also this ootd is a good one.
Happy Mother’s Day!! It sure looks like Oscar is really enjoying Pax! I’m sure there is never a dull moment in your house.

  8. Julie Mycock says:

Hi Beth, it all looks beautiful, very tasty. Mothers day here in England was March 22nd the day before our Lockdown so Mum managed to come to lunch. I’m sure all Mum’s will have a lovely day even though it will be different. Your porch is looking so lovely by the way. Wishing you all a lovely weekend xoxo

  9. Sharon says:

    Happy Mother’s Day to you!
    Stay safe and well.
    Have a great weekend💐

  10. Eve says:

Everything looks so lovely. I like the skirt and the two toned shoe is one of my favorite ways to pull a look together. The food looks so good. I’m on a diet to lose the quarantine 5 so I’m careful with the avacodas and bread righ now but I think Avacoda toast with a poached egg is one of my favorite meals anytime of day.
You made my day with those sweet dogs. I expect Oscar has an equal there in little sweetie pie. 😄 He looks like he has a lot of spunk.

  11. carmen says:

I love when you include all the pictures of Oscar, thank you for that, I have a little one, a dachsund

  12. Nelda Pattillo says:

    Love the skirt and necklace!
I hope that you have a great Mother’s Day. It will be an unusual one for us all!
    Stay well!!😇

  13. Andrea says:

Wow, Beth, that is such a beautiful presentation – simply beautiful literally and figuratively 🥂 I will definitely pin this for later. My boys are both at a distance but that doesn’t mean I can’t do this next year? with friends? on the driveway or distancing on the patio?

I know this has been a heavy year for you, Beth, but I have noticed a heaviness in Oscars eyes as well. Until now, that is! His new buddy has put a sparkle back in his eyes- precious. Enjoy your weekend with family 💝

  14. Sangita M says:

Love your brunch ideas. Simple and sophisticated. Enjoyed seeing Oscar and Pax play!
Wishing you a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend with those you love.

  15. Suzanne Smith says:

Don’t you look lovely, Beth. The food is all right up my alley. I would love it all. I’ll have to pin this to make a similar meal for us sometime soon. The pups look very happy and eager to relax with you, too. I hope you get to enjoy your guys some this weekend–whether in person or through zoom (or whatever.)

As for how I will celebrate, I will be zooming with my son, and he sent me flowers–beautiful white and lavender colored tulips that are sitting staring at me right now. (I honestly don’t know how he got them since I heard on the news that flowers are not going to be easy to finagle this holiday, as the distribution for them is so disrupted.) Joe’s daughter sent me some delivered eggplant rollatini, and I’m looking forward to it Sunday. I got out some old photos of my mom and am reminiscing and missing her. She was a beautiful spirit and she’ll be with me through the day. XO Take good care. Happy Mother’s Day to you!
