it’s friday, gang! we made it to the weekend. for many of us, it is a long weekend so if you are on the road visiting friends and family for easter, safe travels.
oscar and i are starting the day by watering plants. slowly, but surely our front porch and back patio is coming together. there is still a few more nursery runs in our foreseeable future. but the groundwork is laid. there are flowers, herbs, and this year i added a tomato plant and peppers into the mix. can’t wait to snip fresh rosemary and add it to my roast chicken! and there’s nothing like fresh tomatoes from the garden when i’m hankering for a blt. maybe i’ll get ambitious and add zucchini or squash to my container garden. but then i’ll need a gazillion friends and neighbors to share the surplus with. those plants typically go gangbusters and the harvest is plentiful.
the ootd is super casual today as we ease into the day. joggers are comfy and cute; white tennies are practical for puttering in the garden. and with the morning temps on the cool side my denim jacket is back in action.
anyone notice the new ‘do’? it’s short and choppy and will stand up to the georgia heat and humidity. the basic cut is in place; now it’s all about growing the length out to where i want it.
okay, ladies! let’s get good friday started. oscar and i wish each of you a lovely weekend.

Love the new “do.” And those joggers. Especially with the striped tee and denim jacket. Happy Easter, Beth.
well, this haircut should serve me well during the long hot and humid summer!
i hope you enjoyed your Easter weekend.

isn’t he good?! and he loves being outside, trotting behind us and patrolling his yard.

Blessed Good Friday and a joyous Easter!
and the same to you, sharon!

The porch looks lovely and so inviting. Your property seems large (to my NYC eyes!) and a great place to grow some delicious tomatoes and herbs. I really like your new hair style and think it will grow in well. I am jealous of your thick hair as my thin hair has been a life long battle. Enjoy the weekend.
rebecca! i can’t tell you how excited i am to grow a few veggies this year. there’s nothing like a harvest from your own garden. even if it is a container garden.
i hope you enjoyed your weekend!

New do is adorable in a sassy kind of way! Porch us divine!- Laurel Bledsoe
we’ve been working hard on our outdoor spaces! phew. but georgia’s climate is conducive to outdoor living. now, it’s onto the indoors.

I am always a big fan of window boxes–we always put them out and the flowers just bloom like crazy. Increases curb appeal big time in my book. Yours look great.
Your hair is cute–looks like it’s capitalizing on your waves, too–have a beautiful weekend! Enjoy the long weekend. I’m still in the throes of admissions season so no day off Monday, but I’ll take the weekend, anyway! Happy Easter.
last year we put herbs into the window boxes which was easy peasey when it came time to snip them. but don’t they look fabulous with flowers?! love them. i hope you had a wonderful Easter!

I always look forward to Fridays with Oscar. Does he chase the squirrels in your yard? My dogs love chasing after the squirrels; fortunately we have a privacy fence so they can’t go far. Denim jacket, striped shirt, you’re set for anything the day has to offer. Love the joggers…have to see if anyone has them in petites. xoxo
