as promised, today’s ootd features the same sweater and skinny jeans from thursday’s post. today, i’m showing how i transition to a more casual look once i arrive back home. years ago, my dad coined the phrase “getting into his comfy cozies.” and that’s good enough for me. depending on the type of day i’ve had, sometimes i immediately slip into a pair of sweatpants and call it a day. which is exactly what my dad used to do. if memory serves me correctly, he even owned a velour track suit — blue… but there are other times i keep the core items of my outfit in play and switch key items like shoes and blazer. even jewelry. these are the days i still have a few to-do’s left on my list. like taking oscar for a walk.
since we’ve been dodging the raindrops all week here in georgia my hunter boots are back in action. owning a pair of wellies is an absolute must in my book. there’s never a minute of fear if a puddle is spotted. i can walk right through and make a splash. plus, they keep my tootsies warm and they’re incredibly comfortable to wear — worth every penny. it’s still a bit chilly so i exchanged my camel blazer for a warm sweater jacket. and slipped on my new favorite gloves. they have a tech thumb and pointer finger so i can scroll away on my iphone.
TGIF, ladies! oscar and i wish each of you a lovely weekend.

Looks like a toasty outfit for a chilly, rainy day. It is bitter cold here in NC today! I’m all bundled up with a scarf I got on etsy that is keeping me warm and cozy. And I finally got my JJill suede jacket–OMG I love it! (I did get a small, and it is a little roomy, but niiiiiiiiice. It’s gonna’ do fine. And what a great buy I got!) I really love it!
I love you in the red and grey. I have red Hunter boots, and I always feel like they brighten things up on a dreary day. I should have sized down in mine, as they are pretty loose, but I love them anyway. Happy Friday!
I am in love with your grey and red sweater. Looking really awesome with the grey jeans and red boots. You and Oscar look wonderful this Friday….
Love the Hunter boots!

The weather doesn’t seem to faze Oscar. You are dressed for the drizzly drearies with your red boots and red and grey sweater. xoxo
Beth,
Where did you purchase the owl umbrella? My assistant loves owls and it would make a perfect birthday gift for her.
Thank you,
Tina
