Happy Friday, ladies! Can you believe it’s October?! Where has this year disappeared to? It’s time to pull out the pumpkins, scarecrows and a ghost or goblin or two. When the seasons change I love to seasonally decorate. Whenever I think back on my childhood I’m grateful for a mom that always made the holidays feel special. She had a knack for creating memories where memories might not have been just by decorating for the occasion. She celebrated and commemorated our lives through decor. It’s an act of complete love! And the nut didn’t fall far from the tree. I’m always chomping at the bit to Celebrate the arrival of October by setting the scene. Recently, I shared a post about my fall front porch decor. Now that October has arrived it’s time to switch things up again with the addition of skeletons and spooky decor! Decorating for the holidays changes things and brings a new energy into your home instead of feeling stagnant and ho-hum. Change is good for the soul and helps us be more present mentally. Living life intentionally and creating memories is so important! That’s how we age with grace, strength, and beauty.
Since it’s Friday, y’all know Kelly has stopped by to dish up a delicious recipe. Today, it’s a Havarti Pear and Coppa Sandwich that’s certain to please! And I’m whipping up a Lakeside Rye Cocktail that Kelly and AJ were treated to on their last visit to the Ritz Carlton. It’s yummy!
Oscar is on hand for his weekly gig and I’m certain he had his eye on these sammies. This week we even have a glimpse of Ollie who is never far from the action.
Happy Friday to ya’ll! I must try that cocktail recipe (from the Ritz); it sounds fabulous. I’m sure the sammie is too. HI to Oscar! He’s such a good boy! And to Ollie too…you both look nice and “fall-y” 🙂
Happy Friday
