Alright, the big reveal: what I wore in Paris.
A rainy day in Paris. That’s the day Kelly and I had a photography session scheduled with the a-ma-zing Katie Donnelly Photography an American in Paris who is quite the talented photographer. If you are visiting Paris with your family, the hubs or maybe you just want gorgeous photographs to capture your time in the city of lights I highly recommend Katie. She and her team are so easy to work with and you will come away from your session with beautiful memories captured through a lens.
Today’s post also includes photos I snapped during our trip. Montmartre is featured today along with the Dior Flagship in Paris. If you want to oooohhh and awe over couturiere fashion then stop by Dior. It doesn’t disappoint. Kelly and I made our way to the top of the store, stopped at the bar for cocktails and went on our merry way. This store is truly a feast for the eyes.

The Musée d’Orsay was also on our list of must-see in Paris. I had visited this iconic museum housed in a former railway station with Mr. Style but art museums never get old and they also introduce new collections. The Musée d’Orsay focuses on French art from 1848 to 1914 so if you’re a fan of the Impressionists this museum is for you.
The view from The Basilica of Sacré Coeur de Montmartre is breathtaking! If you’ve visited Europe then you know first hand there is a cathedral on every street corner. Or it seems like it. If you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all. Right?! Well, not so fast. It’s quite impressive to see the workmanship that went behind each and every church especially given the century said church was built. But The Basilica of Sacré Coeur de Montmartre is a fairly new church having been built in the early 20th century.
Musée de Montmartre was created in 1960 and houses a collection of paintings, posters and drawings by Toulouse-Lautrec, Modigliani, Kupka, Steinlen, Valadon, Utrillo and more. I particularly liked the gardens.
Rue de l'Abreuvoir in 18th arrondissement is considered the prettiest street in Paris. But I imagine that is open to debate. La Maison Rose is a well know restaurant that sits on the corner. I’ve heard it on good report that Emily in Paris has filmed a scene or two by this cafe.
Beth's Outfit: Cashmere Classic-Fit Crewneck Sweater (J.Crew) | Classic-Fit Drapey Cupro Shirt (J.Crew) | Everyday Relaxed Jeans (Talbots) | Retro Colorblock Sneakers (Rag & Bone) | Ombersley Quilted Jacket (Barbour) | Leather Convertible Crossbody Bag (similar, Coach) | Hayden Leather Crossbody Bag (Coach)
I would be remiss if I didn’t share one of my favorite spots in Paris The Hôtel Particulier Montmartre. Kelly and I stopped in for the most delightful lunch. Several years prior Mr. Style and I and one of our kiddos enjoyed a bottle of champagne in their magical garden. Inside or out, cocktails or dinner, this hotel doesn’t disappoint. Fun fact: It’s the smallest and most private hotel in Paris. No wonder as the Hôtel Particulier was once owned by the Hermés family.

Absolutely wonderful pictures, thank you for the inspiration ladies. I love Paris and one of my best memories is taking my 13 year old daughter-years ago- for a night bicycle tour with a group around all the sights and then a boat trip on the Seine everything beautifully lit up. Beth please tell me what size did you get for the McLaughlin and Barbour jackets? I like wearing a turtleneck underneath. Did you do a 10 or stick with an 8? Many thanks xo
hi Francesca! A night bicycle tour sounds like so much fun! What a memory! The J.McLaughlin jacket is a size medium, and Barbour is a size 8. Sometimes, I size up one size with a coat if I want to wear chunky sweaters, but I kept my regular size with these jackets.
Kelly’s casual outfit captures Parisian insouciance perfectly! Great photos!
it truly does! love her photos taken at the cafe.
Did I miss something? What about your great umbrellas? Thanks.
You ladies always look tre chic in everything you pots. Where did you get those fabulous umbrellas? thanks,Jill
All the photos are stunning! Even in the rain Paris has a certain charm. Thanks so much for sharing your trip with us!
Greetings! Love your pictures and sense of style!! No scarves???..like the women of Europe? I remember taking my students to Europe several times and I felt “naked” without a lovely scarf!! Thank you for your website! It is such a delightful diversion after a long day teaching!
Thank you for the fabulous tour of Paris and your darling clothes. So appropriate. Comfortable and yet still looking classy. Great job.
So enjoyed seeing your wonderful trip to Paris. I went there years ago, and it was great to see it again. Thank you for the fun pictures and information.
