Now that we have our holiday shopping in gear (Black Friday and Cyber Monday are still our favorite days to shop!) It’s time to get back to our regularly scheduled programming. So I thought it would be fun to head back to the streets of Paris with some Parisian fashion for women over 50.
If you want to see a city get decked out for Christmas, Paris, France, has to be it. This city knows how to do it right. The Dior store was situated on the corner of Rue Saint HonorĂ©, where our apartment was located with Burberry directly across the street. The Burberry decorations commenced at approximately 1 AM each night, and we saw the store come to life throughout our stay. How do I know the workforce showed up at 1 AM? My bedroom faced the storefront and I heard a drill or two during my stay...Â
Today, I'm showing you some more views from my recent trip to Paris
Kelly and I are both modeling outfits, but I also wanted to give you some views of Parisian fashion for women over 50
Our outfits are both shoppable via text- and image-widgets

One of the most charming aspects of Paris is the local cafés where you can stop for a small bite to eat while you binge-watch the people passing by. Some cafés are more famous than others, with Café de Flore and Les Deaux Magots being two more frequented. They directly face each other from across the street. And you never know who you will sit next to when in Paris.
The women sitting at the table beside us started a conversation as they thought I was French and asked me a question about the menu. When I explained I was American, they immediately switched to English. They were lifelong friends and traveled together now that their husbands were deceased. But one of the women is none other than Alda Fendi, owner of Fendi, the Italian brand that’s world famous. The sunglasses she’s wearing are in the Guggenheim museum! And that’s a fact shared by Alda herself. What a fun afternoon! The cute Pomeranian (they're were two) belonged to Alda, although she had a dog walker drop them off and pick them up. What a life!

the placemat on the table is upside down.
So cool! You two look like native Parisians! Will study your post when I have a work break. Thanks for all of it — I want that little Pomeranian!
I just caught a photo of one Pomeranian but there were two and they were so well-behaved!
How fun to meet Alda Fendi! You two looked very Parisienne, no wonder she thought you were locals.
And all the decorations are beautiful, particularly liking the Chanel exterior.
Chanel was my favorite! Just loved how they used pearl necklaces that mimicked garland. Genius!
Stunning photos, Beth👏 You two really do look chic. Those choices really do speak to your ages, and personalities. I know Kelly thinks she is a tomboyish, but I think she is just very relaxed French chic. That outfit truly elevates her, while still being true to herself. Beth, that outfit is just so you. Love your hair, by the way. If you don’t mind sharing, where did you stay? We are thinking of a trip to Paris, and it helps to know what you are in for. Dior and Channel’s buildings are so true to their essence 💝
I rented an apartment through Airbnb. The address was 255 Rue St. Honoré. I will have a post in the coming weeks that share all the details.
Thank you, Beth for sharing all the beautiful photos of Kelly and your trip to Paris! It’s been many many years since I’ve been but, oh what wonderful memories your photos helped bring back.
I’m so glad you enjoyed today’s post and that it brought back wonderful memories for you!
Love the story about Alda Fendi and the dog walker dropping the pups. Ooh la la! I was able to spend Christmas and New Year in Paris years ago, and the magic has never left. Love the holiday decorations.
It truly is a magical city! Thanks so much for stopping by.
Wow! These shots are fantastic! I never had much of a desire to see Paris. I think now I do! What an adventure. You never know who you’ll meet!
Oh, and the Chanel building – Wow! Beautiful.
Thanks for sharing your trip!
Love, love, love the Chanel Christmas decorations. It was so fun to watch the city start to deck the halls. Glad you enjoyed the photos.
HI Beth,
Ahhh…Paris! I so love that city—it’s like no other place for ambience and the ability to make one really step back and enjoy the surroundings and the feast for all of the senses.
I am curious about one thing: Ar. The clothes you are wearing and then featured on the blog given to you by the stores that are linked—Nordstrom, Talbots, etc? Veronica Beard, Vince, Georgia Bombe, and Lafayette 148 are very high-end brands and I just am wondering if you actually purchase them or if they are gratis for promoting them? If so, lucky you!! Thanks for sharing those lovely photos!
It’s always noted in the post if it is sponsored by a brand. Otherwise, all the clothes are purchased by me. Lots of price points to choose from at SaaCA as style has no age limit or price point.
