Today, we pause. Before the sales, the cookouts, and the first unofficial sips of summer, Memorial Day asks us to remember. To honor the brave men and women who gave everything in service to this country.
For me, itโs always a day of quiet Memorial Day reflectionโa moment to appreciate the freedom I have to enjoy a slow morning, call my family, and yes, share a love of fashion, food, and home with all of you.
This year feels different. As I my family is growing, I find myself thinking about legacy. The memories we pass down. The stories we tell over backyard burgers and porch swings. And how even the simple act of getting dressed can be a small form of celebration.

This year, Memorial Day holds even deeper meaning for me. Our family welcomed baby June, my first grandchild, into the world just days agoโon May 22nd, which also happens to be my late husbandโs birthday. I canโt help but feel like heโs still with us, watching over this new chapter, this new life. It’s serendipitous.
So yes, Iโm feeling grateful. Tender. Hopeful. And more convinced than ever that style is about more than clothesโitโs how we carry memory, joy, and love into every day.

We welcomed our first grandchild last August and her name is also June. Miss June Magnolia. She was born at 34 weeks and was a tiny 2 pounds 12 ounces with no other health issues, just early and tiny. She is now finally on the growth charts for both weight and height. We are truly blessed.
