Happy Friday, gang! It’s time to kick off the weekend in style with a festive outfit and a delicious treat. The scene is set, and my best buddy Oscar is on hand to welcome the weekend. As always, Fridays would not be complete without a cocktail. Martini’s are always a favorite, so I’m sharing one today with a slight variation. It’s time to kick back. Relax. Cheers to you, ladies!
Since the holidays are here, it’s fun to add a little glam to my outfit. Is there such a thing as too many sequins? I think not. Let’s up the ante with a sequin jacket that comes in gold and anthracite. Dress it up with a skirt or dress, but I love it paired with a turtleneck and a humble pair of blue jeans. Add a glam pair of earrings, and you have a cute holiday outfit with little effort.
If there was one thing Mr. Style loved, it was Medjool dates. It’s a delicious treat any time of year. When I’m looking for a healthy snack, I pick Natural Delights Medjool Dates as they’re loaded with natural fiber and high in antioxidants and micronutrients. Add dark chocolate and sea salt into the equation, and you have a taste extravaganza. Let me tell you they’re the perfect holiday dessert. Mr. Style would have been one happy camper adding Dark Chocolate Covered Medjool Dates to his snack list.
Natural Delights Medjool Dates are raised on sunshine in the deserts of the southwest USA. Medjool dates require high heat and low humidity. Natural Delights is committed to sustainability, so there are no pesticides and no additives. Now that’s a snack after my own heart! I don’t always have time to whip up a healthy and tasty treat for my guests during the holidays. That’s when Natural Delights Dark Chocolate Covered Medjool Dates come in handy. I buy one or two cartons ahead of time and keep them in the fridge. Impromptu entertaining with Natural Delights on hand makes my life easier. Don’t they look gorgeous on a festive holiday tray?
If you’re looking for a low-maintenance holiday dessert, Natural Delights Dark Chocolate Covered Medjool Dates come ready to serve. Simple and Easy. Just the way I like it.
It’s fun to take an ordinary pair of jeans and add some glam and glitter especially when the holidays roll into town. The dark wash straight leg denim is from Talbots. A cream turtleneck from Banana Republic would look fantastic all on its own but we’re taking the outfit up a notch by adding a gold sequin jacket from Frances Valentine. A gold belt (old, similar here) from Ralph Lauren and gold ballet flats (old, similar here) keep the glitz going. Sometimes less is more when it comes to jewelry. Then again, sometimes more is more. A cocktail ring, gold bangle, gold hoop earrings, and crystal-studded gold cross necklace (similar here) are added for good measure.
Enjoy Dark Chocolate Covered Medjool Dates with friends and family. Or maybe just keep them to yourself. On second thought, this tasty treat has to be shared! And they’re available at Amazon.
Lke I said, I’m big into martinis lately. I’ve got a twist on that idea for you: a baileys espresso martini. As you can guess, it goes well with any dessert. Seriously: how can you go wrong with coffee and Baileys? Such a classic pairing.

Happy Friday! Love your look today (as I do every day).
Hugs to Oscar.
Cute outfit. Would not of thought to add this gold lame jacket with jeans. I am still looking for one. The one you reference on the blog is still out of stock. I have a pair of ballet slippers almost the same of these of Ali McGraw brand that I ordered from Talbots this Spring but thought they would look to summery. Maybe not if you are not going out in the bac=d weather or snow on the ground that I woke up to this morning in MInnesota. Not much on the ground though thank goodness.
Hi Beth,
You and Oscar are adorable together, that picture with Oscar kissing you melts my heart.
You look so festive and pretty in your gold.
Oh – I could drink this one in a large glass! Yummy!
I enjoy hearing about Mr. Style! You do a great job of honoring your husband. My thoughts & prayers are with you as you remember your husband.
Beth, you are classy, yet fun and approachable!
Loving your blog! Tina
Love this outfit!
Beth I love your taste but I just heard that Talbots is getting rid of the women’s section. I’m devastated because of their great quality and choices for women. I was wondering if you heard the same thing?
That outfit with black velvet pants!😍 As always you bring such inspiration.❤❤❤
You and Oscar are beyond precious! And you both look so festive! Thanks for the Dark Choco Date suggestion. Yum! I’m getting some! Happy Weekend!
What’s not to love about a concoction that contains coffee and Bailey’s? Your outfit is the bomb … and I always adore seeing Oscar.
An atypical pairing and so charming for the holidays.. The martini sounds fun and tasty as a liquid dessert! Love dates – have 2 pouches in the house. Planning to use some in my stuffing if I don’t eat all of them first.
Hi…love the coat to bad I’m not in a cold climate during the
winter but it looks absolutely smashing on you.
Aren’t dogs the most lovable things . Oscar is so beautiful you can tell him that from me.
Happy Holidays. KZ
The gold jacket is so sharp !
