5 Timeless Classic Summer Outfits
Happy Sunday, ladies! June is wrapping up and we're quickly approaching July. Incredibly hard to believe: believe me, I know. But with July comes the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. We're all excited over here at SAACA, and I thought we'd get in the mood today by recreating 5 timeless classic Summer outfits using only Nordstrom brands.
For me, this Summer has been all about bright and bold colors; dresses; and embracing modern trends. That being said, I will never forgo the classics.
And that's what I love about this blog. In addition to being able to share fashion inspiration with you, it serves as a sort of fashion journal for me. I can go back through the archives and identify and recreate classic outfits that I love.
And this brings me to my first point: keep a fashion journal. And that could be as simple as a photo album on your phone. Put together an outfit that you love? Take a quick selfie and file it away for later. You can always come back and recreate it years later. (Some of the outfits in this post are from 5 years ago!)
And now for my second point. Nordstrom. I don't know of any other retailer that allows me to reliably recreate outfits. They literally have everything from quality brands at a variety of price points.

1. The Mighty Blazer
Style tip: Despite the hot temperatures, layering during the summer months can be necessary. A blazer or denim jacket is perfect to deal with cooler indoor temperatures in, say, the office setting.

2. A Denim Pencil Skirt
Style tip: My desert island, if-I-could-only-have-one-skirt, would absolutely be a white denim pencil one. The most versatile skirt. Absolutely goes with anything.

3. With a Vest
Style Tip: Suit vests are one of the most overlooked items to have in our wardrobe. But think of it as an investment piece. Buy it once, and bring it out once or twice every season.

4. A Denim Dress
Style Tip: Trends come and go. A denim dress never, ever goes out of style. I like a classic long-sleeve shirtdress, but whatever your preference, it's a timeless summer staple.

5. A Khaki Shirt
Style Tip: A classic khaki button-down shirt is another staple in my wardrobe. Where it with pants, shorts, or your favorite pair of denim. It's understated but timeless.
