the need for tweed

it’s always on trend and it’s always a classic. a tweed jacket that is. and there are all sorts of variations on this timeless classic. today’s version has 3/4 length sleeves which showcase those flared sleeves that are all the rage these days. when it comes to date night with mr. style i typically keep things low key unless we’re headed to a fancy restaurant or the theater or any other event that requires an elevated outfit. but i still like to spice up my ootn. hence a metallic tweed jacket that spiffs up a pair of dark rinse denim. one style trick i love to utilize now and again is belting a silk scarf. it lends an air of sophistication that’s perfect for an after five look. and i always have one or two on hand.

accessories are kept to a minimum as the star of this show is definitely the tweed jacket. dangly earrings add pizzazz and satin slingbacks add some polish as does the clutch handbag.

here we go, ladies. it’s monday, let’s make it a good one.
