it’s monday morning, and styleatacertainage is heading out the door for a road trip. i’m heading to sunshine and blue skies, but it’s a work junket so i’m packing light.
here’s what’s in my suitcase: 1 black blazer, 1 ivory silk blouse, 1 pink silk blouse, 1 ivory sweater, 1 pair of denim (dark rinse), 1 red t-shirt, 1 pair of nude flats, 1 pair of sneakers, 1 pair of sandals, 1 black handbag. join me over the course of 4 days to see how

join me over the course of 4 days to see how i’ve styled my outfits. day one is travel day. i typically wear a blazer when i travel due to the fluctuating temps inside the airport terminal, and airplane. an ivory silk blouse can be styled a thousand different ways which is one reason it joins me on every trip. i also like to bring a cashmere wrap to curl up with on the plane. this trip i opted for a blanket scarf that will pull double-duty. it’s a terrific scarf i wore several weeks ago that was a big hit with all of you lovely readers. it’s not only going to keep me warm but looking stylish. a pair of slip-on shoes are a must-have when i travel. they’re easy to pop off in a jiffy in the security line. to finish off my travel ootd is a black handbag that i’ll carry the duration of the trip, and my weekender that’s carrying all of my essentials.
happy monday!

Great travel look! A scarf is a must on an airplane! Yours is gorgeous! And I love your travel bag, too!
thanks, Andrea! this bag is one of my favorites to travel with. just wish it had wheels…

Such an awesome, classic look!
thanks Amy! simple is always better for me. happy to hear you liked the outfit (it’s the scarf that packs a punch).
Nice travel look! I’m going to Texas next month to visit with my daughter and her family. It will be very cold leaving Indianapolis but warm in McKinney. Have to think about travel wear… xoxo
this was a whirlwind trip so i was able to travel light. extended trips are a bit trickier to plan for, but if you take your time and choose wisely the outfits can be rotated nicely.

Hi Beth! I’ve recently discovered your blog and LOVE it! I thought I left a comment yesterday but since I don’t see it maybe it didn’t get published (my computer is giving me fits!) but I was wondering if you would share where you got your beautiful blanket scarf.
Looking forward to following you along on your journey!
hi judy! at last i’m able to answer your question. the buffalo scarf is from talbots. i think they are still in stock online. hope that helps! i’m always thrilled to hear you are finding inspiration from my blog.

One pants or one peace of clothes alltogether for the under the belly area? I would be afraid to get dirty or just not feel fresh on the last day. I also always take mym pidjama. I love your outift!
i do take my pajamas along with me!, and, of course, lots of lingerie. but you can’t beat blue jeans for taking a beating, and still looking fresh at the end of the day.
