Here it is, the wedding recap. You asked, and I’m delivering with a quick rundown of the wedding weekend. All I can say is that it was a magical weekend with the entire family front and center. The weather was picture-perfect if not a bit chilly, but plan A went off without a hitch. Amen! Also find a collection of Winter Wedding Guest Dresses and Accessories, along with photos from the wedding at the end of the post.

The rehearsal dinner was held Saturday night at The Olde Pink House in Savannah. If you have not been to this historical restaurant, I highly recommend it. The food is fantastic, and you will be given a brief history of the mansion-turned-restaurant that dates back to 1771. It’s reported that the owner of the home James Habersham held secret meetings that helped secure the independence of the 13 colonies from England.

Christian (my youngest son) and I each gave Andrew a toast with a slight roast, and we finished the night by meeting Andrew’s friends at McDonough’s, who had flown in from near and far. I wore a Faux Leather Dress (old, similar here, here, and here) with a Leather Blazer (old, similar here, here, and here) and slipped into a pair of block heels with patterned black hose.

The evening was a true delight, and we were surprised with a serenade at the end of the evening with “Going to the Chapel” by a fantastic singer.

What can I say about the wedding itself other than it was a beautiful day, beautiful bride, and beautiful ceremony and reception. Honestly, the day and evening couldn’t have been more perfect. Yes, I picked the Mother of the Groom dress that was part jumpsuit and a whole lotta chic. I received so many compliments not only at the wedding but also when I posted a small recap on social media.
The dress is from Alexia Maria, a brand that carries many options for formal wear. I chose crystal slingbacks and wore crystal drop earrings for the ceremony. When it was time for my mother/son dance, I slipped into a pair of Christian Louboutin sneakers that are absolutely FUN and helped me dance the night away!
