Happy Thursday! There are several trends in denim for 2024, a few include ultra-dark rinse, straight leg and wide-leg, but of all the trends, pintuck denim might be my favorite. Trending denim styles for 2024 are all over the place, ranging from super-loose and slouchy 90s styles to straight-leg cuts. While I will always wear straight leg denim, I am interested in the “elevated” denim styles. Think, trouser cuts, pintucking, hard pleats and creases. So today, I am sharing a perfect example of one of 2024’s major denim trends: Pintuck Denim

The pintuck denim trend is an easy one to get behind because it not only flatters any silhouette, but it elevates many cuts and styles of denim. I have seen great examples of wide-leg pintuck denim from J.Crew and straight-leg styles from Paige. A pintuck creates the sophisticated sharpness of a hard crease without the careful ironing, which creates a long line, elongating the legs. It’s a fantastic look for denim, especially with a wide, or flared leg – making it a great style for petites, especially if you’re a petite on the fence about wide-leg or flare styles.

Recently, I wore the Pintuck Flare Leg Jeans from Talbots, with just this Cable Knit Cardigan Sweater as a daily look, but today I wanted to add a little extra detail with the collar of the Drapey Oversized Boyshirt in stripe, poking out of the cardigan collar. I like the stripe print and it makes this outfit perfect for a day at the office.
