the best part of spring? besides the flowers in bloom and the birds singing that is. well, one of the best parts for me is lighter layers. it’s sooooo nice to slip into a sleeveless silk top, cotton pants, and my all-time favorite – linen. and while today’s ootn is casual glam as mr. style and i are headed to dinner this linen duster will easily make the transition to the office or the weekend. who doesn’t love a versatile item?
gray and white is a beautiful color combination come spring summer. and i’d lay a bet most of us have at least one pair of white pants hanging in their closet. if you don’t, think twice as white pants are an essential wardrobe staple. today’s version is a cropped ankle pant that can also transition to the office or weekend with ease. haven’t i mentioned your clothes need to work for you? yes, they do.
for today’s ootn i threw on a lovely silk blouse found on sale late last summer. this is the first opportunity i’ve had to wear it. once high temps roll into town, i’m certain it will be on summer repeat. but for now, it’s tucked underneath a lightweight linen duster (also found on sale last year). white cotton pants, jeweled block heels, a little bling, and clutch purse are all that’s needed to complete this outfit. oh, and a little lipstick refresh before i head out the door.

Gorgeous! Love every detail about this outfit. I have a very lacy, open-weave grey sweater (about the same shade as your duster) and I may keep it in the spring/summer lineup after seeing this post. xoxo

Very pretty! Elegant drape to the fabrics, and the subtle color is spot on. I don’t always like asymmetrical tops–I’m not a fan when they look like everyone else’s,) but this one is a thumbs up; it’s unique and lovely.
Elegant and lovely. I am also loving the new hairstyle. You look great!
I am a new subscriber and love your style! I have followed your posts for a couple of months now and all of your ootd are wonderful! I wondered if you have ever done a series of ootd where you take one key piece and over the course of several days show different looks using the one key piece. My personal challenge is to figure out how I can use one item to create several different outfits. Thanks! Charlotte
Such a classic color combo!
