Happy Thursday! If the commentary on Beth’s recent Denim video and posts are any indication, many of y’all are not giving up on skinny jeans! I bet you a million bucks they’ll be back around, so hang on to your favorite pairs. I have never been a fan of skinny jeans, instead I have always preferred skinny pants, in a variety of materials, my favorites being ponte, or other thick cotton/elastane combination. Every time J.Crew brings out the Pixie Pant, I am there for it! So today I am sharing a new favorite skinny pant with How I am Styling Skinny Pants.

(Vince)
Vince is calling these pants “Leggings,” which is accurate enough, I suppose. But in my mind a legging only refers to pants in which the leg opening is tight around your ankle, like yoga tights, or Spanx Faux Leather Leggings, of which I am a fan. This is my own personal definition, as I am easily proven wrong with the many “Legging” options out there. Regardless of what anyone is calling them, I really like the retro look of skinny pants with a side or back zip, and a seam down the front and back.

So, the Stitch Front Seam Legging is from Vince, we have talked about this brand being one of our favorite high-end brands here before, so you might recognize the name. I recently purchased these pants during their amazing 80% off sale. I know that the non-sale price tag will stop many in their tracks, but I found some great alternatives in this style that won’t break the bank.
Budget-Friendly Options: Ponte Pintuck Ankle Pant | Pull-On Pixie Pant | Pixie Pant

I am wearing regular size xs. Vince does not have petite sizing, so I did get these pants hemmed a few inches so they are cropped.
Speaking of budget-friendly, I actually found affordable dupes of basically my whole outfit from Quince – which is not only budget-friendly but they make organic, sustainable clothing with exceptional quality. So if you like my look, but not the pricetag, Check out this Quince Dupe Outfit.

Then, because I am wearing skinny pants, I like to wear something with a little contrast in cut or shape. So a chunky sweater is a great option for cooler temperatures.

As I write this, the Waffle-Knit Henley Sweater is on sale and might sell out quickly, so I have rounded up a couple of other options. This version from Quince is nearly identical. This sweater I am wearing is from Madewell, and I sized down one size to xxs. Much like the Waffle Knit Vest I shared last week, the waffle knit is chunky, soft and warm.
I love the look of a classic ballet flat with skinny pants. So I have my silver Greta Ballet Flats. Pointed toe or round toe flats are great with skinny pants – such a classic silhouette.

Then I have my new favorite bag, the Transport Bucket Bag, which I shared last week. This bag has become my new daily bag. I go between a small bag like the Small Transport Crossbody and something a little larger like the Transport Shoulder Crossbody depending on my needs. And I was feeling like sometimes I do need something a little larger, so this Transport Bucket Bag is the perfect solution.

I recently scored a $300+ Vince knit sleeveless summer dress on sale for $63 at Nordstrom and was absolutely delighted with the quality. I’ll continue to keep an eye on them for sales!
Awesome score, Lindsey! It’s worth subscribing to their website to be notified of sales, because they don’t often have sales, but when they do, it’s a really good one! Thanks for stopping by today, xo Kelly
Hi Kelly,
I completely agree with your point about skinny jeans vs. pants. I can’t do the jeans but the pants look ok. The Vince pants are very chic and look great on you. One of my favorite looks you have done.
Thanks so much, Kathy! xo Kelly
Beautiful post. Love the outfit and photography.
