I know, I know summer is still in full swing. But every year, come August the retailers start whetting our appetite for fall fashion. I don't know about you, but fall fashion is the absolute best! Give me all the cashmere sweaters, boots, and blazers. This girl is here for it! Today, it's the First Look for Fall with Ann Taylor a retailer I count on year after year! And they're having a great sale. 30% off your purchase.
First up is Blazers, which are a hard-working wardrobe staple especially come fall.
Blazers are the perfect third layer to add to your outfit, whether a blazer and jeans, a blazer and dress, or a blazer and trousers. I even love to throw a blazer over shorts for a chic summertime look.
Ann Taylor always has a terrific selection of blazers any time of year. A tweed blazer adds that chic factor to your outfit. A knit blazer is modern and fresh, especially in Jazzy Pink. A long and lean blazer is always on-trend. Love the powder blue color that's everywhere this season. A timeless tweed cardigan blazer is reminiscent of Chanel. And a sleek and structured blazer gives a custom-tailored look.

Next up are tops that are a must-have in any hard-working wardrobe. A white button-up is a wardrobe staple that will serve you well. But I also like to keep patterns on hand like this geo stripe blouse. Nothing is easier to throw together at a moment's notice than a snazzy top, denim, and heels. But a simple ruffle button blouse in black will serve you well.
Pastels are trending this fall, and lavender is seen everywhere! Love this pleated mock neck button top that's feminine through and through. A sleeveless shell looks fantastic on its own or paired with a cardigan or blazer. Look for classic patterns like plaid or polka dots.

I've always been a big fan of Ann Taylor pants because they fit. And they carry a selection of Tall, Regular, and Petites. Pleated pants are trending this season. Add classic camel pants to your rotation. The belted taper pant is an easy silhouette with a flattering fit. Wear it to work or brunch. I love side zip pants as it takes away bulk and gives a smooth finish.
Don't forget Ann Taylor carries jeans. My go-to's are Mid Rise Boot Cut and Mid Rise Tapered Jeans.

What's in my cart? Too many things! But here's what I'm loving for fall.

Beautiful clothes for fall! I love the look of all of these outfits. Almost makes me wish I were still working! These would definitely be my “look.” At this stage in my life, there are not many occasions to dress up. I do go out for dinner quite often, which is where I might wear some of these more tailored dressy looks.
I like and would love to see more of, polished, “stay at home” looks that are comfortable, yet chic and that don’t necessarily include jeans or sleeveless sweaters.
Thanks Beth for always keeping us fashion forward!
Love your blog!
Thanks for the suggestion, Nancy!
Hi Beth,
I would also be intested in “polished stay at home” looks.
Many thanks in advance!
Thanks for the suggestion.
Beth, I do love the many suggestions for fall. Kind of looking forward to it but in Wisconsin winters are long. Maybe we will head south this winter.
Anyway a question for you. Is the first picture recent?
I’m thinking it is. You do look like you have lost quite a lot of weight. I maybe missed what you are doing. Please share. I know you’re exercising but what about your everyday diet. It’s working.
Hi Paula,
Yes the photo is recent. I haven’t gone down to a size 6 so it must be exercise? Pilates 3x a week, Spin class 2x a week and Orange Theory.
Hope this helps.
