As we get into August, it’s time to take a look at fall clothes. Though we may not be experiencing anything other than scorching hot temperatures, my mind is already steering toward my fall closet cleanse. Each fall, I turn over my closet from summer to fall and winter clothing. This means examining my summer clothes and keeping, tossing or donating accordingly, as I make way for fall. In turn, as I move my fall and winter clothes forward, I go through the same exercise, and inevitably I end up in need of updating certain items for fall and winter. So today, it’s the First Call for Fall: Coats and Jackets.
Today we are looking at fall coats and jackets
The outfits are all old, but I've put together similars or inspiration outfits for each
The outfits are shoppable via text and/or image widgets

Cardigan coats are often the perfect piece of outerwear for our mild fall and winter temps. Since gaining popularity several years ago, they come in all kinds of styles; long, short and medium lengths; blazer and coat styles.
Mostly, statement coats are those with bold prints or bright colors (sometimes both!). I love a bold statement coat and this year bright colors (especially hot pink) are trending.
A utility jacket is great for three seasons, it really provides bang for your buck! They go great with denim and casual dresses. In a lot of ways, they’re a great alternative to a denim jacket.
A leather moto jacket is classic, which makes it a great investment piece. This classic jacket will never go out of style and it works perfectly dressed up or down.
