Happy Sunday, Ladies! Today we are going to explore some of the fashion trends for 2024. This year will look a bit like last year, with quiet luxury and metallic everything still going strong. We also have preppy looks to fall back on, though for 2024, classic preppy looks are infused with fun elements like layered skirts and sequins. Romance is making a comeback with gorgeous floral prints and flowing layers of sheer fabrics. Bright, bold colors are still on trend for 2024. Business dressing is back, even for those of us who skip the traditional office, with a style Glamour magazine is calling C-Suite Chic. So, let’s dive into Fashion Trends for 2024!

We have covered this trend a number of times on the blog. The idea behind it is to look sophisticated, yet understated. Nothing too flashy with large brand logos. You don’t have to spend a lot to achieve quiet luxury. A good strategy is to go with a monochromatic look, but mix your materials to give textural difference and interest.
Slip Skirt | Crewneck Cashmere Sweater | Silver Crystal Sandals | Handbag (old, similar here, here, and here) | Collar Necklace | Earrings | Caviar Bead Bracelet | Nars Lip Pencil Dragon Girl
Crewneck Sweater | Carter Pants | Puffer Jacket | Pointy-Toed Boots (old, similar here and here) | Handbag | Similar Pearl Earring | Similar Pearl Necklace
Preppy style has always been my go-to fashion aesthetic. I especially enjoy when this style comes back in a big way because it means classic style pieces with fun updates like color, texture and shape. Look for the strong return of the polo shirt, academic-style blazers, and while striped button-downs are always available, look for a wide range of color and cuts. J.Crew might be one of the most budget-friendly brands to shop for preppy style. Also look to Tuckernuck and J.McLaughlin. Frances Valentine is fun for a retro-romantic take on classic preppy style.
You don’t have to work in an office to have fun with power dressing. A tailored look is all it takes, whether it’s a blazer, dress or trousers – the secret to pulling it off is in the tailoring and proper fit. You can easily incorporate two other 2024 trends, slingbacks and kitten heels, into a C-Suite Chic look for added polish.
Similar Matching Blazer | Similar Style Pant | Gold Chain Necklace (similar, Ben-Amun) | Similar Tank | Similar Metallic Slingback
Ponte Blazer | Bridgette 360 Pants | Scoop Neck Top | Similar Ankle Strap Heels | Oversized Tote
Romance is alive and well in fashion for 2024. Think of flowy fabrics in romantic cuts with layers of sheer material, ruffles, and voluminous sleeves, in feminine floral prints. Whether soft and romantic or bold and graphic, gorgeous floral prints are everywhere in 2024. Tuckernuck is a great place to start if you’re looking to add some romance to your wardrobe this year.
We saw a lot of sequins this past holiday season. But don’t think the sequins are stopping at the holidays! Like metallics, sequins will be everywhere, on everything, again this year. You don’t have to go all out with sequins head to toe to have fun with this trend. The sparkle is finding itself on shoes, embellishing prints on tops and pants, and adorning handbags.
