norah ephron penned a book titled I Feel Bad About My Neck where she shared her hilarious thoughts on being a ‘woman of a certain age.’ it’s definitely worth a read if you missed it. i don’t know about you, but i miss her—such a dry sense of humor. we all know how nora felt about her neck and covering it up at all cost! i’m sure she’d be proud of me today ‘cuz i have on this snazzy black cashmere turtleneck.
so what goes best with a classic turtleneck? a classic camel-hair blazer of course. although a pair of faux leather pants is just the ticket to keep this classic ensemble from looking too stuffy. and the leopard pumps never hurt. it’s small details like this, ladies, that make the difference. and give your outfit a little pizazz. if you put a little thought into your accessory choices, you’ll see the difference straight away.
is anyone else enjoying this glorious fall weather as much as i am? there’s nothing like a little chill in the air to bring a spring to your step.
happy hump day!

so funny!….just the other day I decided to check that book out again at the library but picked up another one of hers since I couldn’t find that one!
ha! that is ironic. but what a talented woman nora was! we need another fierce voice out there that says it like it is.

Beautiful, Classy and elegant. Doesn’t get any better than this. As usual you look wonderful!!!
awww, thanks, bonnie! but really, who doesn’t look good in a classic blazer and turtleneck?!

I was just recently thinking I might just break out my faux leather pants for Friday when I head back into the office. I’m in SC today, and even here it’s chilly tonight. I love it, too! Your outfit is lovely–camel is one of my all-time favorites–the entire look is simple but chic.
I read Ephron’s book–I loved her!! She was marvelous. I also enjoyed Meryl Streep’s portrayal of her in “Heartburn.” She and Jack Nicholson were classic as Nora and Carl Bernstein.
Stay warm!
loved ‘heartburn.’ who knew a divorce could be so funny?
let me know if your faux-leather pants made it to the office. it’s friday as i type…
