what to wear on a warm weather getaway
today, it’s all about what to wear on a warm-weather getaway. yesterday, i shared my five beach essentials with you as we spent two out of three days lazing on the beach. but one day in naples, florida was reserved for shopping with the evenings devoted to dining. where did we go and what did i wear? well, here are two outfits that came along to florida. one for day and one for night.
there were three shopping destinations on our list: The Village Shops on Venetian Bay, Waterside Shops, and 5th and 3rd. i’m happy to report we hit all three. it was time for yours truly to squeeze in a bra fit session, so i happily zipped into Saks who carries two of my favorite brands – Simone Perele and Wacoal. not all department stores carry Simone Perele, but if my measurements change (they did), it’s easier to try on new bras in person.
buzzing around naples in a striped tee from J.Crew. love the pink, orange, and red! the white bermuda shorts are also from J.Crew. i couldn’t resist adding a pair of preppy Jack Rogers sandals into the mix, and my monogrammed beach bag doubled as my handbag.

mr. style and i stocked our fridge with healthy goodies so we could dine in style each night. friday night we met dear friends for dinner at C Level, saturday night was devoted to seafood at The Bay House, and sunday evening found us dining at a lovely persian restaurant called Bha! Bha!. all three evenings were devoted to casual chic looks that consisted of skirts and blouses with one denim dress making an appearance.
this silk skirt is several years old (similar here), but i love to wear a feminine, floaty skirt whenever i can especially on a hot summer evening. the silk blouse from Tory Burch has a detachable necktie and is new this year as are the wedge sandals (similar here) i snagged on sale several months ago. if you aren’t a fan of heels, you might consider wedges as they are soooo comfortable to wear and look great with pants, skirts, and dresses.

all right, ladies, time to get monday underway. mr. style and i are headed back home to osacar and ollie! can’t wait to see them. happy monday, gang!
