today i’m headed back to my old stomping grounds, chicago. notice the lightweight cashmere sweater? and the denim jacket? think i’ll be warm enough to brave temps that will only reach a high of 54 degrees? it might not be a bad idea to pack a pair of gloves and a hat if i want to travel by foot. and that’s one of the best features of chicago. walking the city blocks, window shopping, and gazing along the shoreline of lake michigan. years ago, i claimed chicago as my home. it was the first town i lived in after university, and i loved it. all except the winters…and that biting wind that swooped in from the lake. but here’s a fun fact. the windy city didn’t get its nickname from mother nature. no, urban legend has it that the chicago politicoes were braggarts hence the name – windy city. but shopping is an amazing experience along michigan avenue. and the restaurant scene is top notch whether you’re hankering for a tasty deep dish pizza, a scrumptious italian beef sandwich, or a juicy porterhouse steak. my digs for the next three days is smack dab in the middle of the gold coast. so i’m certain i’ll find something to bide my time with. if you are on snapchat, follow along with me for some behind the scenes footage. i’m styleatacertain. and you won’t want to miss my song of the day. see you there!
