okay, gang, i’m keeping it short and sweet today but before this corset skirt vanishes altogether from Ann Taylor i wanted you to take a peek. this skirt came along with me on our recent trip to europe but time slipped away from us and i have zero photos to share with you. it looked adorable with a long sleeve striped tee and espadrilles.
today, this laced up skirt steps straight into summer with the addition of gingham block heel sandals and black boatneck sleeve tee (similar here). even on a summer day i typically bring along a lightweight cardigan. tied around my neck it’s the perfect layer that wards off those chilly temps found inside office buildings and movie theaters. the cardigan is from J.Crew two seasons ago. but take heart, this year a cuter version is up for grabs.

Gingham is so fun. Those gingham shoes look great with it. I have that sweater and love it. I can picture the long sleeve striped shirt with the skirt–sounds pretty.
i think this gingham cardi is one of my all-time favorites. but i have to admit i was sorely tempted to buy J.Crew’s new rendition…
