rockin’ robin
lately, i’ve definitely been in the neutral zone when it comes to color schemes. i was chatting with an instagram friend yesterday (yes, i’m on instagram, and facebook, and pinterest, and tumblr, and… well, all the social media buttons are listed) that winter is fleeting. even as i type it’s hard not to get excited about all of the fun outfits showcased in store windows, singing spring’s sweet melody. bright colors, pastels, and, of course, whites galore. but i digress, today’s ootd is anything but colorful, and that’s all right with me. some days just demand a simple color palette. i noticed i hadn’t worn my beloved faux leather moto jacket in ages. so it was time i hauled it back out. every time i put it on i can’t help but feel a tad rockstar. one reason it’s a favorite of mine. it’s such an iconic look. but i softened the jacket with a silk scarf, ivory sweater, and a pair of spectator flats. hopefully, you can see the zipper details on the black jeans that are in keeping with a rocker-chic look.

Such a great look that I’m tempted to play copycat (especially since my daughter just passed along pair of black-and-white patent Bloch ballet slippers). I’ve got all the elements except the black structured bag, so I suppose that’s where I’ll work to make the look my own. Thanks for the inspiration!

Love the way you have used your scarf…fresh, different, and simple. The subtle touch of color it brings is perfect for your outfit and very Spring-like. Quite envious of the bare feet you show! No such thing here in Minnesnowta!
i remember those minnesnowta days! and the boots. god bless you! the one thing i love best about a warmer climate is never having to worry about what shoes to wear. hangeth thou in there. spring will be here before you know it.

oh i remember february all too well when living in the midwest. it’s the shortest month of the year, but it always felt like the longest. fear not, spring is certainly on the way! and with it all sorts of fun new outfits. stay warm, and safe if a snow storm is brewing.

Love this outfit on you! Yes, I envy your bare feet in cute flats. Flying to Dallas on Wednesday where it’s in the 70’s and my daughter has a PhD in shoe shopping.
