it’s fridays with oscar and we’re kicking off the long easter weekend with boho chic. nothing is more laid back in my book than this. being a product of the seventies i’m all too familiar with this iconic look that sprang into popularity sometime during the early years. it was also the decade that solidified denim as ‘the’ ideal casual wear. and both looks have stuck around ever since. my husband and i will be celebrating easter sans kiddos as two are moving this weekend, and the middle child will follow suit mid-april. the djalalis are on the move this year! but once the dust settles i think we’ll shoot for a get-together the fourth of july. as you can see from the photos i finally broke down and visited a new hair stylist – a lovely young man that knows the ins-and-outs of the local restaurant scene! i thought i might have to trek up to atlanta for my stylist search. but i might have lucked out on my first try here in athens… this is such an amazing city in so many ways. but shane, my new hair stylist, put it best. athens is effortless. amen to that!
oscar and i wish each of you a lovely weekend!

Wishing you a lovely weekend! You are not wearing long sleeves or a coat……it is gloomy and cold here… Love the patches on your jeans…and your hair… xoxo
thanks, sweet friend! it’s a gloomy day here as well. the rains rolled in last night and will stay with us the next few days. aren’t these jeans cute? one of my favorites.

Great haircut, I like the way it goes around your ears. I think you found a keeper hairstylist!
every once in a while you catch a break! happy to hear you like it. i do too.
happy friday!

I have visited Athens and love it there. It is a great place. You are quickly becoming my favorite fashion blogger. I love your relaxed style. I’m retired and usually dress very relaxed also so you have given me great ideas. It is still very chilly here so I have to wear long sleeves until it warms a bit more. We had more Spring like weather earlier in the month!!
this time of year, no matter where you live, the temps bounce around! giving us more than one challenge in getting dressed for the day. but we’re up for it! thanks, for your encouraging words. happy friday!

I noticed the new do right away! It is just like mine so of course I love it!! Have a fabulous Easter weekend and we are sans kids or family, too.
hi kim!
i think we could be twins with our short-do’s! and what could be easier to style?
happy easter, sweet lady!

hi nikki!
oscar can be a ham when he wants to! they say be careful when filming with kids or dogs – they can steal the show.

I noticed your new hair right away! It looks wonderful and what a blessing to have found a new stylist in your neighborhood. It’s still quite cold here, so adding a sweater layer is perfect. Enjoy every minute of your weekend and Happy Easter!
hi talia!
thank you! happy easter back at ya. (we know it will go by all too quickly!)
