today, it’s all about updating your wardrobe with fall arrivals from JCPenney. what’s better than updating your wardrobe with affordable items? whether it’s on-trend pieces or timeless classics fall is the perfect time of year to get your fall style mojo on.
fall fashion continues today with fall arrivals from JCPenney. many of you might remember i’ve partnered with JCPenney since february this year on Instagram. and the partnership continues through november. but this go-round, we’ve added YouTube into the mix. but i didn’t want my blog readers to miss out on a few essential items that are on trend this fall from JCP.
spoiler alert. the fall partnership with JCPenney has a twist to it. every month a box is sent to my home filled with several items inside. then it’s up to me to style those goodies with wardrobe staples from my closet. am i up to the challenge? come on. let’s see what i came up with from my fall arrivals from JCPenney.
this outfit has two items from JCPenney. this gorgeous faux leather moto jacket in an on-trend color burgundy is paired with a timeless turtleneck in ivory. the turtleneck is a blend of acrylic and rayon, so it’s lighter than wool or cashmere. perfect for the early days of fall when the temps are chilly but not cold. this turtleneck in a neutral color will serve us well as a light layering piece all through the fall and into winter.
i decided the faux leather moto jacket and timeless turtleneck would look modern and fresh with a pair of ever-popular Sloan pants (old, similar here) from Banana Republic in a vertical stripe. add block heels (similar here) and satchel handbag (similar here) and you’re ready for the weekend.

a pair of wide-leg pants in 100% cotton/corduroy are next. this season we’re watching a new silhouette take shape. many of us shy away from wide-leg pants thinking they make us look, well, wider. what i like about these pants is that they have a flattering flat front. plus, wearing the right footwear helps balance the wide-legs. platform sneakers are all the rage, so the chunkier, the better. i’m still deciding on which pair of chunky sneakers to purchase. but this pair, this pair, and this pair have caught my eye. in the meantime suede oxfords (similar here) from Cole Haan do the trick. add a lightweight crewneck sweater and this casual ootd is in the books.
Macy’s is having a shoe sale 30% off 1 40% off 2.

last but not least is a long-sleeve button-front shirt from Worthington. this blouse is made from rayon, so it has a beautiful drape. it can be worn as a button-front shirt and would look fantastic with black pants and statement necklace. but i thought it would look equally good worn as a cardigan. this way you can wear a color many of us think we can’t wear – brown. notice how the striped shirt (similar here) acts as a buffer between my skin and the shirt in noble fir. add a pair of straight leg denim from Talbots and comfy and casual clogs from Easy Spirit and you’re stepping into the weekend in style.

Awesome!
See what an influencer you are!
Love the way you ingeniously style everything.
We are the same size. Did you wear a large in the shirt to layer. I wasnt sure if I should have sized up.
I notice you have the jacket sleeves cuffed back.
I bought a black moto last year and had to have my seamstress hem the sleeves .
Love the wine and gray!! You should wear more burgundy–you look so pretty in that color!
I have not shopped at J C Penny so with these looks I think I will give it a try.
Hi Beth, I agree with Rhonda I think the wine and grey looks lovely on you. I could never wear wine/purple colours when I was blonde but since I went au naturale and I’m light sliver grey I find I can now. Xoxo
Where did you purchase those
lovely woven belts you wear?
Beth, thank you for helping us successfully style these silhouettes that are making the comeback. Loving the navy wide-leg cords!
Love the burgundy motor jacket with the white turtleneck and striped pants. A great outfit. You look awesome in this ensemble.
