Anyone who knows me knows that I probably spend most of my money at Ulta Beauty. It’s because they have prestige and drugstore brands in the same retailer – and I’m a Save and Splurge kinda gal when it comes to my makeup collection! So every year, I consider the Ulta Beauty 21 Days of Beauty event to be one of the best opportunities for everyone to refresh their makeup routine without overspending.

As a professional makeup artist, I always recommend using this sale to take advantage of investing in high-quality staples that truly perform for us mature ladies. It’s 3 weeks of 50% off deals and other deep discounts across makeup, skin care, hair care, fragrance, tools, and more!

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing the standout deals worth grabbing from Ulta Beauty (in my opinion, of course!) along with a weekly makeup inspiration look.  I’ll be focusing on the formulas/brands I personally trust in my kit and use on real women (and myself), every day.

So be sure to flag this post so you can come back to it and check up on my favorites throughout the event.

21 Days of Beauty Inspiration Look

Today’s Inspo Look is: LAVENDER HAZE. I chose this pretty pastel shade because I think it really embodies a springtime shift for our makeup looks. I also read that the phrase “lavender haze” was popular back in the 1950’s as a way of describing people being in love and staying in that state while not letting anyone bring them down. How beautiful is that?? It’s also a Taylor Swift song title!

My touch of lilac shadows are from the Anastasia Beverly Hills mini Sugar palette, $32, pale fuchsia pink cheeks by Morphe blush trio in “apres ski,” $19 (wonderful cheek palettes btw), and lips are Fenty Beauty gloss bomb stix in “Fu$$y”, $26, a shimmery dusty pink. My lavender nail color is “Play Date” by Essie, $9 (such a fun spring forward shade!).

Now let’s get into finding the good stuff that’s on sale, because y’all know I’ve already done the testing and research for you…

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Stix Glosses (now $13, value $26 each). I am wearing one in this post and I own 3 shades already. For $13, you should try at least one color because the shine that mimics a gloss, but in a lipstick form, is oh so gorgeous.

Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof + Mattifying Setting Sprays (now $17, value $34). This is the OG makeup setting spray. It has since been reformulated to be even more waterproof, and you can choose from the original, glowy, or mattifying options depending on your skin finish preference.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Beauty blush wands and Beauty highlighter wands, (now $22, value $44 each). Anytime CT is on sale, I jump at the chance, because it’s not cheap! I own both of these cheek formulas and find them to be very mature skin friendly.  I’m partial to Pillow Talk original in the highlighter, and the Pillow Talk Dream Pop (a soft cherry red) is phenomenal for that naturally flushed wind-blown look in the matte finish.

MAELY’S B TIGHT Lift + Firm Booty Mask, (now $26, value $52). I own this mask and use it during the summer. It does tingle, okay a tad bit of heat/burn, but I do find after continuous use for a week or 2, my butt looks way better! Cellulite is not completely gone, but the skin feels definitely better. Just in time for swimsuit season!

Sunday, March 8

OPI XPress On press-on nails collection (now $6 – $8, value $12 – $16). I will absolutely stock up on this OPI brand of press-on nails bc you all KNOW I cannot live without my press-ons! They offer so many great color options, and the short and classic lengths are the most wearable.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizers ( now $17, value $35). The original yellow moisturizer favorite we all grew up with continues to be a best seller. It hydrates and strengthens with pure urea and pure glycerin and is fragrance-free, no parabens, phthalates, or drying alcohol!

Serovital Advanced Anti-Aging Dietary Supplement (now $59.50, value $119). Now, I do not have personal experience with it yet, but I want to try it at this price. The overall reviews are really, really good. This 2-part system apparently offers rapid results (yes, please) and helps in just weeks of increased energy, more restful sleep, a better mood, and skin improvements.

Grande Cosmetics Mini Lash + Brow Edit (now $27.50, value $55). This is the best way to test out these lash and growth serums to see if they’ll work for you! Or, they’re great if you’re already using these formulas and are going on a trip, but don’t want to skip a treatment. Plus, it’s got a tubing mascara I’d love to try.

Tan Luxe Express Tanning Mousse, (now $27, value $54). The gold standard of self-tanning mousses is this brand. It hydrates, treats, brightens, tans, and GLOWs in just 30 minutes with 5-in-1 skincare, in a clear formula that doesn’t transfer. Baking in the real sun is no good; this is the safer way to try tanning!

Philosophy Purity Made Simple hydrating face wash (now $18, value $36). This award-winning face wash is apparently the #1 hydrating facial wash sold in the US! It’s a one-step wash that removes it all while also protecting your skin barrier. Great price for a stellar skincare product.

Peace Out Acne Healing Dots (now $9.50, value $19). We always have these on hand in my house bc I get an occasional bump, but my two teens always get them! You pop one of these on overnight, the blemish, and it’s basically gone the next morning!

Erborian CC Red Correct w SPF 25 (now $23, value $46). If you struggle with redness in the face, you’re gonna want to try this. It’s a long-standing iconic product of illuminating green color correctors that instantly reduce the appearance of redness. As a skincare-first color corrector powered by CICA (the super ingredient renowned in Korean skincare for soothing properties), this is the most natural way to reduce redness without wearing heavy foundations.

It Cosmetics Do It All Serum, color Balm sun cream blush, (now $17, value $34). I have two of these and love them year-round for how glowy and soft they look on the skin! It Cosmetics has never done me wrong, and these pots of cream blush and bronzer do truly deliver a lit-from-within glow you can dot on with your fingertips with ease.

Wednesday, March 11

Tangle Teezer Large ultimate detangler brush, (now $10 value $20). My daughter and I both have long hair that tangles easily, and we would never want to be without these brushes! Ideal to use on wet hair or even dry hair. They’ve got a style for thick and way, fine and fragile, and naturally curly hair.

Clarins One Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser, (now $20, value $40). You all know how much I love the Clarins skincare brand. And sometimes I do love the way a physical exfoliant feels as compared to a chemical one, and this is one of my faves. It gently polishes away debris and makeup and leaves your skin buttery smooth and soft!

IT Cosmetics #140 Airbrush Flawless Highlight brush (now $12, value $24). This brush is the perfect small size for blush or highlighters – cream or powder! Too many women I see using way too big a blush brush for their small cheek area. This one fixes that so that you can target just the cheek area and not apply too much.

Lancôme Lash Idôle Volumizing Mascara  (now $15, value $30). It’s one of my all-time favorite prestige mascaras, and now it’s basically a drugstore-priced one, so I will be stocking up!

Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip & Cheek Multi-Stick ( now $15, value $30). Who doesn’t dig a multi- use makeup stick?? These melt in like skincare, but serve up like makeup swipe & go color you can’t mess up, for matching cheeks and lips, with lots of hydration!

BeautyBio The Eyelighter Serum & Depuffing Tool (now $29, value $58). This reminds me of an eye brightening color corrector I currently use, but this has the product in this nifty steel depuffing tool for application! I love the idea of adding this under your regular concealer or using it alone for a bit of brightening and no-makeup look.

Urban Decay Naked shadow Palettes (now $28 – $17.50, value$35 -$56). You cannot go wrong with owning an iconic Naked palette in your beauty arsenal. My ultimate go-tos I tell everyone they can pull off are the Basics2 matte neutral and the Naked Shaped Multi-Tasking Eyeshadow Palette Cool.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eye Liner ( now $12, value $24). I am a devoted liquid liner fan of Stila’s, and the midnight blue and dark brown shades are gorgeous. The pen is super easy to swipe on, and it does stay on ALL day!

Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm (now $18.50, value $39). If you’ve ever wanted to try a cleansing balm, this would be the one to invest in! Check out the reviews – it’s spectacular and smells delightful, feels even better, and removes everything! It goes from a sorbet-like feel to a milky lather.

Kitsch Satin Heatless Curls set (now $9, value $18). Better than using heat to damage your locks, and the curls last longer! If you have longer hair and want to try heatless curls, this is the way to go. And if you have a granddaughter, daughter, niece, etc, this would make a cute gift item as well!
