I didn’t get to post a Pretty Powerful post for the month of March, so I figured April is a fantastic time to do so! And because this happens only twice a year – the Sephora Savings Event – it’s a great time for me to share my Pretty Powerful picks!

Beauty Staples That Deserved To Be Restocked
Items that tend to run out more often, such as – face masks, cleansers, sunscreen, pro-aging serums, mascara, etc.
Biodance Collagen Real Deep Sheet Masks, $19 for 5. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve bought these. But seriously, if you’ve never tried this KBeauty mask, it’s worth it. These numbers should impress you – 204% increase in skin moisture, 83% decrease in pore volume, 20% increase in skin luminosity. Leaving it on overnight if you can, or at least for 3-4 hrs is the key. *I’ve included a very scary pic of me wearing one of these beauties*
Youth to the People Superfood Hydrating Cleanser, $39. It’s an Allure Best of Beauty winner, and a winner in my bathroom! I love the clean green smell and it’s pH-balanced gel-to-foam formula that cleans so well without stripping skin barrier while improving the look of pores over time. Use it with this $9 facial cleansing pad that gets 5 stars – you won’t be disappointed!
Grande Lash MD Lash Enhancing Serum, $68. If you’ve been wanting to grow longer, better eyelashes, now’s the time to try this lash serum! It must be used daily, so it does need to be repurchased in order to keep that growth and length! Give yourself 6 weeks (yes, one full sized tube should get you that far) before you throw in the towel. The length I swear will just pop up overnight it seems!
Kiehl’s Better Screen UV Serum with SPF 50, $45. My husband and I BOTH use this sunscreen/collagen peptide serum! It is an everyday essential y’all. It’s a very lightweight sunscreen serum that protects against sun damage and visibly corrects early signs of aging (dark spots, dullness). It also visibly enhances skin radiance and improves skin tone and texture.
Lancome Lash Idôle Flutter Extension Lengthening Mascara, $30. Mascara is probably my most repurchased makeup item bc I use it every single day, and I use a lot of it! This is a newer formula by Lancome that is getting rave reviews for women with shorter stubbier lashes that are hard to reach – which happens to most of us as we age. Unless we are using our lash growth serums right?? I will def be trying this during the sale.

Products I’d Tell My Over-40+ Best Friends To Try
Items that work for most women to make them feel their best, such as signature fragrances, lip color, eyeshadow palettes, foundation, and concealer.
Laura Mercier Tinted Blur Balm Skin Tint with Peptides, $44. I recently was sent this in PR and I am a FAN. It’s super sheer, light coverage, easy to use (no messy bottle or pump distribution), and delivers the most realistic blurred skin! It goes from an airy light skin balm to a soft powder finish. You’ll get the best results using a buffing foundation brush like their 5 star Sephora Collection #40 Pro brush (and get 30% off it too during this sale!). I wear shade 2 in this skin balm.
Makeup by Mario Ethereal Eyes shadow palette, $69. This iconic palette by the master artist Mario Dedivanovic, was sold out forEVER until everyone made such a fuss to bring it back – and now it’s back! It’s pricey, but if you can get it at a discount, these shades are worth it. It’s a dreamy natural 12 color story in glossy shimmer, sueded mattes, and natural metallic finishes.
Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Natural Glow Blurring Liquid Foundation with 24 Hour Wear, $69. If you want more than sheer coverage like the above-mentioned Laura Mercier balm, then try this newly formulated favorite. She’s gorgeous and gives a full-medium finish with a hint of glow. I’m a fan when I want to get super glammed up! I’m wearing shade 4.5 now that I got a little color over spring break.
Pat McGrath LUST Lip gloss, $29. I am a sucker for all lip gloss, and especially for this formula! It seems to be selling out fast, but some of the more wearable shades are still available. “Divine Rose”(plum rose with reflective pearl) is one of her signature shades in blush, and it’s the perfect lip color! The opaque full color payoff is exquisite, and every gal can feel gorgeous with this gloss on.
The Kayali brand of perfumes, $29 – $150. Do not wait to buy your signature fragrances during this event because rarely do prestige perfumes go on sale! I’m a big fan of this Kayali brand – specifically the vanilla scents of Kayali Vanilla 28 and her Candy Rock Sugar, but she has plenty of other scents too. Of course, they all come in mini sizes if you want to try before committing to the full-sized ones! I go through fragrance faster than the average human probably – I don’t leave home without it!
Nars Soft Matte full coverage Cream Concealer, $36. Need a new concealer? I highly recommend you give this pot concealer a try then. You don’t even need powder to set it because of the way it dries down to a true soft matte finish, and boy oh boy will it cover! It’s also great for spot treating age spots. I’ve been wearing shade creme brulee.

Sol de Janiero Cheirosa Perfume Mist Discovery Gift Set, $36. This limited-edition set brings together the newest Cheirosa 91 scent as well as their three bestselling scents in travel sizes in a cute yellow jelly clear bag that could be used for a beach bag as well. These are the scents of the summer!
Sephora Favorites Spring Styling Superstars Hair Gift Set, $48. I haven’t talked much about hair care yet, so this set of 9 mini hair care favorites seemed like a cool option! From texturizing sprays to a glassy blow-dry spray, this will give you the chance to try so many things!
Gisou Honey Glow Icons Hair + Gloss set, $59. I already own the hair mask and hair oil, and love love them both! Although I haven’t tried this lip oil in “watermelon sugar”, I’m sure it’s just as fabulous because I can’t resist lip oils. Highly recommend this trio for anyone who wants glossy, stronger, shinier-looking hair and lips! The sweetly delicate notes of their Mirsalehi Honey are sourced from their own bees and are one of a kind.
Charlotte Tilbury Mini Pillow Talk Lip liner + lipstick set, $25. Still haven’t jumped on this bandwagon yet?? Well, now’s the time to try one of the most talked about and purchased lip shades in the world! And you can now pick it in the matte or satin finish. What are you waiting for??
