May has felt beautifully “overwhelming” over here — it’s called May-cember for a reason!

Between busy work life, the emotions of my children growing up and finishing school (as of this weekend), and soaking in every last moment with my high school senior before graduation, this month has been such a whirlwind! And as bittersweet as this season has been, I couldn’t be more proud of the incredible young man my middle child, Walker, has become over these past 18 years. Hard to believe my once teeny tiny 6lb April baby is now going to be wearing this cap and gown on Saturday!

And somewhere between the tears, his last high school baseball game ever (I cried my eyes out), and the upcoming graduation chaos, I have found certain beauty and lifestyle favorites that have been making life feel just a bit prettier and easier to handle. Hence, another “Pretty Powerful” products post for May!

The real magic is finding those products that enhance our lives, instead of overwhelming them.

This month, beauty trends for me have leaned into radiant skin, blurred texture, and skincare-meets-makeup formulas — exactly the direction that my mature skin tends to love.

Without further ado, here are my 8 MVPs of May for you to check out. Plus, I’ll be reminding you of some really great Memorial Day weekend sales going on as well, not to miss out on!

May Beauty Favorites

Body Coverage Perfector

Before-and-after comparison of a woman's lower leg and ankle, showing visible varicose veins in the top image and smooth, even-toned skin in the bottom image after applying Westmore Beauty Body Coverage Perfector, with gold and silver stacked bracelets

Westmore Beauty Body Coverage Perfector, $49 — This is THE confidence product I have needed for my very bad varicose leg veins. I can’t even believe I’m showing you my legs, but we are all friends by now – ha ha!

If summer legs, arms, bruises, veins, or uneven tone on your chest make you hesitate about wearing sleeveless tops or shorts, this instantly gives skin that expensive, airbrushed look while staying super transfer-resistant. It’s “wow, your skin looks amazing” in a tube. I give this product a solid 5 stars, it works SO well, just look at my before and afters! Wearing shade – Warm Radiance here.

And you MUST apply it with a large kabuki brush for it to look right. Fingers and bare hands will not cut it.

Eyeshadow

Natasha Denona I Need A Nude Eyeshadow Palette, $72 — Mature-eye perfection. These soft taupes, satin shimmers, and flattering neutrals somehow make eyes look lifted and elegant without screaming “I tried too hard.” If luxury neutrals had a personality, this would be her. I couldn’t resist buying this, and I’m glad I went for it.

*Sephora is having a weekend-long Memorial Day sale with some items up to 50% off, plus if you’re a Beauty Insider, you can get 500 points for spending over $75, so be sure to check it out.*

Nutrient-Rich Emulsion

Colleen Rothschild Moisture Veil Silk Emulsion, $48 — One of the easiest “good skin days” in a bottle. This nutrient-rich emulsion melts into skin, delivering truly cushion-like moisture that absorbs nicely and leaves a smooth, luminous finish without heaviness. It’s glowy and flexible enough to move with mature skin instead of sitting on top of it.

I linked it through Amazon after realizing it was all sold out on their official website. My foundation looks SO much better when I pair it with this moisturizer. And don’t forget the illuminating tinted eye cream – it’s pure magic.

Lip Gloss

Maybelline Lifter Gloss, $10— I’ve been buying this drugstore formula of lip gloss for years now. And it never disappoints. It’s the lip gloss equivalent of a flattering soft-focus filter with a lot of shine. Easy, sheer, and impossible to mess up. Wearing shade “Heat” here, which is a repeat favorite. I also love the shades “Sweetheart” and “Petal.”

And if you’re shopping for this lip gloss online with Target, they’ve got some really cute tops, bottoms, and dresses on sale for up to 40% off until Monday!

Sandals

Euro Soft “Glinda” Sandals, $50 — I’ve already started envisioning what I want to pack for our European summer vacation next month, mentioned in last week’s French girl Red Lip post, and I must have comfortable shoes! So I bought myself a pair of these Eurosoft sandals, and I’m thrilled I did. If you’re looking for comfort and cushion, check this brand out. I love these sandals as they have an easy-on/off strap that is hidden velcro!

*And while you’re on the Zappos shoe site, their Memorial Day sale includes the Hoka Clifton 10 tennis shoe style that never goes on sale, especially ALL  colors, and are now 20% off  if you want the most comfortable sneakers I’ve ever worn.*

Blush

Morphe Cheek Thrills Trio Blush, $19 – This solid 5-star blush trio contains three textures—satin cream, a luminous balm, and a velvet powder—in monochromatic tones. Mix and match for custom colors, effects, and finishes.  I’m wearing the shade “Cabana Club” here, which is a beautiful watermelon red. I own 4 other shades as well 😉

Eye Mask

Silk Silky Contoured Eye Mask, $29 — I can’t stand for there to be any light around me when I’m asleep, AND I don’t like my eyelashes being squished by traditional eye masks. This one solves both problems with the comfort of 100% mulberry silk. It’s adjustable and feels silky soft. I will absolutely be taking this on my flight to Europe so I can get some shut-eye!

*I ordered this eye mask from Nordstrom, and their Half-Yearly Sale has already started, with incredible deals up to 50% off! So if you’ve been longing for something in particular from them, I’d go searching!

Gel Nail Polish

Sally Hansen Miracle gel polish in “Sugarfix”, $13 — You ladies know I typically only wear the IMPRESS press-on nails, but I have decided to give my nails a little break from them. However, I NEVER go without some sort of color on my nails. I have discovered these Sally Hansen two-step gel polishes, and I picked up this super cute periwinkle-ish blue shade and love it!

If you like my blue + white geometric print dress, you can find it on sale on Nordstrom Rack here. We are laying low this Memorial Day weekend, since Graduation is also this weekend and we are packed with parties to attend, so it’ll be nice to just relax at home. But I hope, however, you’re celebrating this weekend, that you enjoy every minute of it!
