Let’s get one thing clear before we get into this post. It isn’t about whether you like or dislike Lauren Sánchez OR her billionaire husband, Jeff Bezos. Love them, hate them, don’t care, or just scroll past them—this is strictly a beauty breakdown from one of, probably, the most elaborate weddings of the year. Let’s talk about Wedding Glam!

I’m not even going to talk about whatever “work” she’s had done on her face. I’m not a board-certified plastic surgeon, so your guess is as good as mine.

But as a makeup artist, I’m here strictly to talk about her wedding makeup. Which I think could be described as “elevated minimalism” in an expertly restrained way that deserves a closer look.

While the Italian multi-day celebration was over-the-top luxe, the 55-year-old bride’s glam was refreshingly dialed-down—and that’s exactly what made it so impactful in my opinion. I actually read in Mirror.uk that her goal was to keep her glam look, to “Hardly any glam, the least amount of makeup.” She wanted it, “as natural as you can get.”

Let’s unpack why this worked so well and how her longtime makeup artist, Laura Mele, delivered a look that’s timeless, flattering, and surprisingly achievable.
To find the exact products she used on Lauren, I did some sleuthing. I scoured the MUA’s Instagram posts, and she lists many of her holy grail products that she uses on her celebrity clients, including Sanchez. So I used my product knowledge to guess which ones she might have used on the big day and did my wedding glam version!

Wedding Glam: The Inspo For Her Wedding Look
Sophia Loren in the movie Houseboat from 1958. It’s well known that Sanchez is a big fan of Sophia and wanted to emulate her white lace wedding gown from this movie. Check the similarities of both gowns with the high neck and corset vibes. Even though this was more covered up than she’s usually seen wearing, I dug it. She looked so chic and romantic.

Wedding Glam Eyes: Definition Without Drama
Get the look: Anastasia Beverly Hills micro brow pencil, “soft brown”, $26. // Morphe 9T palette, $14 // tarte Lights Camera Lashes 4 in 1 volumizing mascara, $28
Her brows were soft and full, not overdrawn. They weren’t super arched either, more of a straight across fullness similar to how Sophia Loren used to look. This artist loved ABH products, so that’s why I chose this pencil.

Instead of heavy strip lashes or dark winged liquid liner, her eye look relied on soft definition. A blend of neutral-toned matte shadows— warm taupes and bronzes —created depth in the crease, along with a clean, bright ivory brow bone and softly blended.

I used a smudge of thin, skinny black liner at the lash line, and tightlined as well, to give the illusion of thicker lashes without veering into “Instagram glam.” I smudged out the skinny liner with the dark brown shadow from the palette I used to further soften the appearance of the black. One of my fave bridal tricks!

She might have had some mini clumps of fake lashes applied, but it certainly didn’t look heavy. I just relied on curling my lashes for an extra long time, then adding one of the only prestige mascaras I really think is worth the money – the tarte lights camera lashes! If you’ve never tried this formula, give it a shot.

The Skin: Breathable
Get the look: Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation, $69 // d’Alba White Truffle Skin Serum spray, $24 // Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Finish setting pressed powder, shade 1, $49 // Nars radiant cream concealer, $32, shade cafe au lait.
Lauren’s complexion had a healthy radiance, not the overly contoured or the heavy airbrushed look we often see on brides.

The iconic Armani foundation is rumored to be Lauren’s holy grail foundation formula, so I’m guessing that went for the wedding day too! This 2024 beauty award winner for Allure magazine mimics the look of skin, with a weightless and natural, subtle glow finish.

I also used the Nars radiant cream concealer that Mele lists as one of her faves to use on Lauren. I used it to brighten the under eyes and give some clean definition out towards the temples as well using a flat concealer brush, $16. Finished off mattifying the t-zone and under eyes with one of my personal faves as well as Mele’s, the Charlotte Tilbury powder.
The Cheeks: Blushing Bride
Get the look: Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek cream blush stick, $24, shade “werk” // Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Seeker highlighter, $38, “ethereal” // Anastasia Beverly Hills smooth blur contour stick, $32, shade “shadow”
There was a very gentle flush to the cheeks (a soft peach or rose tone, no doubt cream-based) that added life without stealing the spotlight. I personally would have put a tad more blush on her than what I saw she wore, but I’m a sucker for blush!

Laura’s shown on her Instagram how much she likes the Tower 28 Beach Please Creamy blush, $20, in shade “Magic Hour,” which is a muted sun-kissed rosy nude. I don’t own that product so I used my Milk Makeup stick, which looks rather similar, but I added more layers for color.

And even though her cheekbones are already very prominent, there’s no doubt she had a little champagne shimmer tapped high up on them for more drama. Laura likes a lot of the Anastasia Beverly Hills line, so I went for their newest highlighter to tap on top of the cream blush for added glow and instant wedding glam.

And because my face doesn’t look as chiseled as Lauren’s, I added the ABH contour stick under my jawline and chin, as well as along side of my nose and under my cheekbones for some oomph!

Wedding Glam Lips: Perfectly Pink
Get the look: NYX “nude truffle” lip liner, $5 // L’Oreal matte resistance liquid lipstick, “first kiss,” $14 // L’Oreal glow paradise lip balm gloss, “pristine pink,” $11.
A pink nude lip finished off the look. This is a similar lip as she is normally seen wearing. It was understated, but incredibly polished—a color that enhances without overtaking. This kind of lip color also photographs beautifully, which is key when your wedding is essentially an international media event!

How I used my holy grail bridal pink trio. I lined my lips first with the nude truffle and blended out the edges. Then, two light layers of the L’Oréal matte lip color until it dried down. Then I went back in with the liner to re-line the outer edges and give even more definition and staying power! Lastly, just a light swipe of the gloss in the center of the lips to give a healthy shine. You won’t regret trying this gorgeous drugstore trio of products. It’s so pretty every time.

When Less Is Luxe
This look is a lesson in restraint and intention. It’s not about piling on products—it’s about making smart choices that enhance your natural features. For mature women, this approach is a powerful reminder that youthful beauty isn’t about excess. It’s about light, softness, and strategic simplicity.

The Rest of My Look Details
I wanted to have that lacey vibe, so I chose a top with a high neck like Laurens. Similar white lace tops that are summer chic are this Bloomingdale’s one, $58, Revolve lace button up, $250, and Anthropologie lace, $128 // Fake big diamond studs from Amazon, $30 // Paired my lace top with denim shorts, which turned out super cute. Similar patch pocket front ones here from J.Crew Factory, $45 // My white tipped press on nails are STILL on from last week, I love the impress brand, $10.
Whether you’re a fan of Lauren Sánchez or not (or don’t even think of her!), there’s no denying that her makeup artist delivered pitch-perfect wedding glam. It’s confident, elegant, and deeply flattering. And that, my friends, is worth celebrating all on its own.
Speaking of celebrating, I have felt so honored hearing from a bunch of you from last week’s Beauty for The Blues post – your attention and similar love of all things beauty like me keeps me going with creating these posts!
