we’re going behind the scenes at a photo shoot today here at styleatacertainage. quite often, i’m asked how my photos are shot. do i take a photo each day? where do we find the locations? how do i put my outfits together? so from time-to-time i thought it would be fun to take all of my lovely readers along with me as i plan my blog posts, put together my ootd’s, head out to our locations (mostly the streets of san francisco), and then back home again. today’s post unveils the ever exciting pre-production. beginning with the first photo you can see me lugging my oversized tote filled to the brim with shoes, shirts, sweaters, et al as we headed to the botanical gardens in golden gate park. this particular day i had a bit of time marked out specifically for a photo-op session for two future blog posts. both will be aired sometime in the next few weeks. since we usually walk to our locations you can see i’m dressed comfortably from head-to-toe. many times i’m already wearing the ootd to be photographed when we head out the door. today, i decided to take it easy as our walk was well over a mile. my make-up is in place, and my baubles are fastened so it’s easy to dash into the restroom for a quick change. but well before we get to that stage, my photographer walked the grounds scouting out the perfect spot with the best natural light. in the meantime, yours truly was adding her two-cents here and there, and generally taking it easy although i am testing several background shots. isn’t the life of a style blogger glamorous? stay tuned…

I really like being able to see all the photos, large, in the email. Previously the photos were all small and I couldn’t see the details – always wonderful on your ootd! Thanks-
you are so patient with me! i’ve been on a learning curve these past few months with important details like this. but, i think i’m getting it!
