when the going gets tough, the tough reach for the basics. especially on monday morning. because who has time to for anything other than a quick decision? and we all know that black and white are more than all right any day of the week. but when you’re in a time crunch black and white can reach rock star status in a hurry. but i couldn’ resist a pair of cropped flares that add a modern twist to an old standby. and the white shirt has a beautiful texture and a mandarin collar to add some oomph. now the only decision to make is which accessories will make the grade. black pointy-toed pumps are a safe bet. but a black belt with gold grommets brings symmetry to this nine-to-five ootd when paired with gold earrings, gold necklace, and gold bracelets.
take that monday morning! this outfit is in the bag. now, where’s that cup of coffee?

A white shirt and black pants are timeless; always in style and look effortless. Looks great. And there’s my bamboo-handled black bag again! I used that thing all last summer and know I will again this year. Happy Monday. It’s a dreary one here, and pants will probably figure in my week at work, since I’ll want to stay dry and be comfy.

a native georgian shared with me that it rains quite a bit this time of year and then again in the fall. last year we were in a drought so it was hot, hot, hot a bit early. but i am liking the lush green landscape the rain is delivering!
