it’s been said that the devil is in the details. this adage holds true with style. one reason i fell in love with this silk blouse similar here and here was the subtle lace trim around the hem and sleeve. nothing earth shattering but one design detail like this is what sets an item apart from the rest of the pack. the subtle print also grabbed my attention as did the muted color scheme that’s perfect for a fall day.
while our weather is far from perfect today – rainfall forecasted from 5″ – 7″ inches with gusts of wind around 70mph – mr. style and i decided to kick off our week early with a little fun. plus, in two weeks we’re headed to Boston, so i’m toying with several outfits to see what makes the grade. Boston University invited me as a guest speaker. i’ll be visiting the MBA students, advertising undergrads, and will film a segment for the EdX platform. the Boston Red Sox will be in town, so we’re definitely headed to Fenway! brat and a beer and baseball? in september? and radiant fall foliage to boot? does life get any better?
hopefully, the subtle lace trim is visible. it was too pretty to tuck in, so i popped it over a pair of faux leather leggings similar here. metallic block heels similar here and gold clutch pump up the volume.
fringe is still on-trend this season so look for this detail on a variety of items from handbags to skirts. a cardigan similar here always helps chase the chill away. the longer length is flattering to all figures
all-in-all i’d say this ootd is perfect for date night and it just might find its way into my suitcase ‘cuz brunch is definitely on our to-do list in Boston. any suggestions?
happy monday, ladies!
